ZWINBACK worked for me too today when I called them up to activate my service

Posted Oct 21, 2007 · 00:30 UTC#27

i got the same deal after i told xm i wanted to cancel.........they made me an offer for six months for $38 bucks ($77 a year) i told them to send me a bill. i just got the bill today and the code on the bill says "6MONTHZWIN 6 month MY" so i take it 6MONTHZWIN is a valid code. also got an offer for an extra month free if i set-up automatic credit card billing. hope this helps.

this stuff is not working in canada :(

ZWINBACK did not work with the first CSR I spoke to. Didn't matter what I tired, polite and friendly, and finally threatening to switch to Sirrus.

Called back and simply said to the gentleman that answered, "I'd like to take advantage of your $77 a year offer." "No problem," was the reply! Added the NavTraffic while I was at it.

I just activated a new radio and had no trouble with the $77 a year code. It was a total of $82 and some change with tax.

Posted Oct 31, 2007 · 02:55 UTC#31

I have the D3. I was just wondering if I was to purchase the $77 package would that include the XM box? or do I not need one?

Posted Oct 31, 2007 · 19:06 UTC#33

So after I buy that I call XM and tell them what package I want and im all set?

sorry about the stupid questions im new to this....

Yes. Or if you're lucky like some of us on here you might be able to get xm radio free for a while. I recently bought a refurbished xm tuner from an ebay powerseller and when I installed it, I started receiving the channels immediately. I didnt call xm to activate the unit or anything. That was two months ago and today its still going strong without any problems.

mine only worked for 1 week :(

I'm new to the forum and this is my first post so hello and this site has been very helpful for me. I ordered my D3 from a site online for 663.00 and it was rainy yesterday here in maryland so I just did the wiring and did the bypass but didnt take it out to the truck yet did it all in the house.

my question is:

I have a 2004 Silverado Crewcab that is already wired from the GM Factory so that all I have to do is call XM and thats it. But once I install the D3 I need to buy the XM Tuner right? Will my factory XM plug thats already in the truck just plug right into the XM tuner and the XM tuner plug right into the D3?

I activated my XM today w/nav traffic. I used promo code ZWINBACKMYP1 and got 3 mths free and its on until Feb. 09 for a total with nav/traff. for 124.88

Posted Feb 07, 2008 · 02:56 UTC#38

i used the OEM001NNA code today and it worked. It gave me 3 free months of XM Radio. I also got Nav Traffic for 3.99 a month.

Posted Feb 10, 2008 · 22:54 UTC#39

The phone rep tried to play games, giving me a little run around, probably standard procedures to check your testosterone, but settled for a total price of $99.00 for the year, broken down into:

XM $77

Activation $14.95

NavTraffic three months free then $7 for nine months.

Charges have yet to appear on the CC.

I think they'll come close to giving it away as they need the money. Granted this is an old news, but for those unaware . . .

I did the same thing. Actually, I signed up yesterday, saw this thread after signing up, and told them that I forgot to use the promo code. The lady I was speaking to asked if it was a factory installed XM unit. I said, "I guess so; it was there when I bought the car." I also dropped my plan from 2yrs to 1 year hoping they would offer $77 for the second year or better...didn't happen, but I can use the code when my subscription ends.

Thanks for posting the info.

I just called and used ZWINBACKMYP1 promo code

I got 1 year of XM for $77

3 months free for NAV/Traffic

No activation fee

Guys, after reading this thread I noticed most of the post were old so I will let everyone know that you can still get the XM for 77 bucks. Had to call twice, american accents both times, to get it though. The first lady gave me the reason why every promo code wasn't going to work for me. BS I suppose. When I called again and explained it to the next guy, he just wanted to know what deal I wanted. Told him 77 for the year and 5 minutes later it was finished. Easy day!

Still going....installed and activated my D3 today. Fresh install and XM was available for about 10 minutes. I had all the channels then suddenly didn't have any except the previews. Called XM and got the 77 plus Nav Traffic..total was $124 yearly. I used ZWINBACK, I was a returning customer and she informed me that I had a balance of $23 which had to be paid before I could activate. I did owe so I paid and now have XM.

So, is this only good for new activations? I bought a refurb'd pioneer tuner and it's on from the factory, but I'm guessing my luck will soon run out. I've got two other handheld XM units still on the account, but if the new unit needs activation, I'll try to use the code.

Posted Apr 08, 2008 · 06:09 UTC#45

I've had my refurbed unit for about 2 weeks now and it's still kicking with no activation, on since installation.

Posted Apr 08, 2008 · 14:58 UTC#46

And here I thought I was the luckiest guy around to get my pre-activated tuner! Seems everyone gets free XM for a while.

Posted Apr 08, 2008 · 15:37 UTC#47

Not paid for sirius for over 18 months now :D

Posted Apr 08, 2008 · 16:44 UTC#48

I hope the lucky guy who bought the Maxima I traded in is tearing his eyes out as to why all of a sudden his XM stopped working after 10 months. It's because I finally took it off my family plan! I hope I can get one of these promos to work for me, since I gave some guy free service for so long....

Just thought I'd stop in and let folks know that the XMSCION03 code still works for 3/mo free and no activation. Here's what I did:

Signed up online last night and used XMSCION03 in the promo code box. I then chose the 1 year package at full price. My account said the total would be $150+/- after tax.

I called in just a few minutes ago and got a Phillipino lady named Geraldine. I told her that "My dealer gave me a code for a 1 year subscription for $77, and when I signed up online last night, it wouldn't accept it."

Geraldine asked me what the code was and I told her "My dealer said to use my 8 digit radio ID". She asked me to hold, and came back about 20 seconds later and said:

"I see that you signed up online using the Scion code. This code allows you to have 3 months free, so you are currently being billed $114 for a 1 year subscription."

I said "I know, and that's a good price, but $77 is better. Go ahead and cancel that account/order and set me up with the $77 promo please."

5 minutes later, after listening to her trying to upsell me on extra sh*t, I was done. She said I have a $30+/- credit coming my way, and I am now good until May 2 2009 for $77/yr!

I found info on the Hummer forums, that both the ZWINBACK code and using your 8 digit radio ID are still good.

I didn't try the ZWINBACK code, but using my radio ID worked for me 8)

XMSCION03 = 3 months free w/free activation

ZWINBACK = $77/yr

Your 8 digit radio ID = $77/yr

My free promo is about to run out (in about a week). I called today, told them that my promo was about to expire, and that I want to use the ZWINBACK coupon for $77/year. The CSR canceled the 1 year I was supposed to start, and applied the code.
