Have repeat CF customers gotten the $20 referral code to work? All the reps I talk to say it's for first time customers only.

Here's my referral code if anyone needs: p20as-aexq1-f0rq9

Nope. I couldn't get the $20 off either.

Wow, great service! My original order was on March 4th. I called them and they are sending the camera and the $30 gift card. I will probably ebay the camera...

Posted Mar 13, 2007 · 22:33 UTC#53

Itchy (or anyone else),

I am going to take your advice and duplicate your order. However, I currently have the NDBC1 and am using it with my N1. I am interested in actually using the NDBC2 because several sites state it has 25% better clarity, smaller profile, and wider viewing angle. What do ya'll think? Is the new model going to have better quality? If so then I'll just keep the new one and sell my old one on ebay.

Ok guys here is the best deal ever!

Before I give you the deal I want to thank The Op and Itchy for posting the best thread/comment I've ever read on this site. You guys saved me SOOO much money its comical. I should also say thanks to Crutchfield for the amazing offer...I cant believe Crutchfield would offer such incredible discounts especially since the D3 is brand new on the market. I mean people would buy the D3 by itself for $999.99.

Ok here is the deal I just recieved on the phone a few minutes ago:

Avic D3 $849.99

Pioneer GEX-P10XMT XM NavTraffic Satellite Radio $169.99

Pioneer DEH-P4900iB CD Receiver $152.99

Pioneer NDBC2 Universal Reverse Rear-View Camera FREE!! ($249 value)

$30 XM Prepaid Service Card FREE!!

Pioneer CD-i200 Ipod Control I Ipod Control Interface FREE!! ($40 value)

$20 off refer a friend discount

Total price $1152! I live in CA and didnt realize that w/ Crutchfield there is not sales tax so I got free shipping and no tax. Gotta love CF!

By the way in order to get the above prices you must use promo code 3A185.

So I plan on selling my 4900 cd reciever on ebay for $150 to get my money back. After that I will have spent $1000 total for the D3, NDBC2 rear view camera, XM NavTraffic reciever, $30 XM gift card, and Ipod controller. That's over $1500 woth of merchandise for $1000!!!!

Thanks again The Op, Itchy, and Crutchfield. I suggest anyone who wants this deal order quick cuz I bet CF will catch on quick as to the discounts we are getting! BTW since some of my peers ( you guys!) made orders at 3 am the rear view cameras are out of stock so I'll have to wait for it to come in. No biggie.

good job an a good deal...

just so you know and everyone else.. the (value) of whatever is not full retail, dont get confused, you aint going to sell it for full retail value. Rule of thumb is 50 to 65 cents on the dollar, maybe a slight bit more. of course this doesnt apply to special items, used items, or items that just are hard to get a hold of.

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 00:36 UTC#56

I also ordered a 2nd D3 (and many accessories!) for my wifes car (2007 Honda Fit)...couldn't pass up this deal. Gonna be paying around $650-$700 for the AVIC-D3 after selling the unwanted/needed accessories on ebay or wherever. Good stuff!

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 00:43 UTC#57

so since the ND BC2 camera is out of stock...anyone know when it will ship or can you place the order and they will just ship that seperate when its in stock

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 00:49 UTC#58

CF told me that as soon as the camera came in stock they would ship it to me and send me a notification email. I was still able to purchase it though (got it for free)

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 00:52 UTC#59

but are they going to ship everything together or ship all the rest without the camera?

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 00:59 UTC#60

A quick little check on ebay, reveals the below mentioned products sell for about $425 on ebay:

Avic D3 $849.99

Pioneer GEX-P10XMT XM NavTraffic Satellite Radio $169.99

Pioneer DEH-P4900iB CD Receiver $152.99

Pioneer NDBC2 Universal Reverse Rear-View Camera FREE!! ($249 value)

Pioneer CD-i200 Ipod Control I Ipod Control Interface FREE!! ($40 value)

NOT $611.98

What this means is that if you are expecting to get full pop for those accessories, forget about it. That leaves the value of what was purchased (1152 - 425) to be about $727 or so, when there are plenty of places you can get the unit for like $750 or so, and not have the headache of trying to off load the stuff on ebay. Moral of the story is, dont get this stuff just to try and get the d3 for sub $700. Get the stuff cuz you want it and will use it, otherwise you will find yourself NOT selling it and making much back

but are they going to ship everything together or ship all the rest without the camera?

I just got off the phone (Kieth at CF) told me that they'll probably ship it separate...so you'll get the stuff that is in-stock asap...and then the camera later (most likely).

The $20 referal code will work. See me post at the bottom of page 1. Contact my salesperson Jodi. She had to take some extra steps on her computer to make it work. She verified my referral code will work as well.

Other sales folks at Crutchfield will take the easy out and tell you it's not possible, or they're just not as experienced.

tillithz,

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 01:41 UTC#64

its just not worth the headache in my opinion.

There's some truth to this. If I were to do it over again, I probably would have substituted the 4900 unit for the $49.99 Pioneer speakers. The iPod cable is not as important to me with having Sirius. Even in the case above, coming out with a D3 at the end at around $727 is still a pretty good deal, worth the hassles of ebaying.

However, folks that resell their new Crutchfield gear on ebay have an added advantage over the other sellers.

Be sure to list your items, as items from an authorized Pioneer dealer and include a copy of your Crutchfield reciept. Be sure to mention that these are fully covered for one year from Pioneer direct.

These will fetch you a few dollars more

Hope this helps.

100$ is worth the headache? wow, and i thought i was anal. even $200 would be kinda a pain, to sit through waiting for auction to end, or buy it now, or whatever. not to mention the scams on ebay anyways.

Sounds fair to say

I have my Paypal account set-up so it is almost impossible to get scammed. Also, wait for $0.10 listing days and set a BIN w/ Immediate payment required and buyers must have a confirmed addy and back-up funding or the PP account will deny them the ability to make a payment. I just sold 10 Virgin Mobile phones that I got for 75% off and turned a $30 profit on each one. It took me less than 10 minutes to snap a pic, write up a quick description and list the auction w/ a quantity of 10 and price them a buck or so below the lowest price on there. They all sold in a few hours and I automatically printed the labels w/ Paypal, threw the phones in free Priority boxes, threw in some Crutchfield peanuts and set them by the door for the mailman to pick up. All of this took less than 30 minutes. I don't make $600/hr so this was worth my time. I know this story veered off course, but to some, selling stuff on eBay is not a hassle and worth the extra couple of bills.

Shoot, I got $45 for my CD-IB100 and only paid $42.95 on Crutchfield. This deal was hot b/c I actually want the back-up camera and XM. The free install stuff and 50% off On Star interface through CF was also a nice bonus.

According to a CSR...12/31/07. I would fully expect it to expire at anytime though.

I sent Crutchfield an e-mail after I read this thread and told them I ordered my D3 on February 16th. They said I qualify for the camera and placed it on backorder. Pretty cool.

Thanks for the heads up!

For your information I am not planning on selling all of those aforementioned accessories. The only item I will be selling is the 4900 cd reciever. Why does it seem like you are trying to pick on people? You've made 2-3 similar comments on this thread. If you have a different opinion thats fine but you dont have to voice it so many times...we heard ya the first time.

How the hell did you get 1200+ threads on this board? Have you ever helped anyone out or do you just give out your worthless opinions. Show me a positive thread that you have posted on this board besides your negative comments (which you keep repeating).

Help out or move on bro...Til it hurts.
