Does anyone work at BestBuy or happen to know at all when BestBuy will get a shipment of D3's in? Thanks

Sorry, I can't tell you. But I think if they DO get it in, they will charge full price for it $999 and probably will charge and ARM and 2 legs for the install, if it's done right that is.

You probably already know this, but going through an online retailer which is authorized is probably your best bet.

I am a pioneer dealer and have d3's in stock for $850

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 18:16 UTC#4

I was going to do that but one of my good friends works in the car audio/video department and said that he was going to buy the same unit at the price BB buys it for which is $625 and that he could do the same for me. He also said they had to wait until they get the units in. The only problem is he doesnt know when they will come in. But he did in fact tell me that they will get the D3 in because that same morning they had a meeting. Installation is $200 + $59 for the installation parts. The installers get half of the $200 bucks so he would only charge me the $100 to install and then 40% off the install products. And he will do the bypass for me also. So i am looking at a hell of a deal. I just am waiting for when they get the unit in. I WANT IT NOW!

If they would come in on Sunday that would be awesome. Thanks for the comment!

Some bestbuy's will not ever get the d3 in stock. Depends on the demographic. Though pretty much all of them can customer fullfill a d3.

I can pull up the D3 in our inventory, but it is not en route to our store. I had to order it through Pioneer accommadations and it will be here in about 2 more weeks. 625.50 shipped. I think I can wait a couple of weeks for that price.

That's another thing I forgot to mention. Bestbuy has an employee accomodation going right now for the d3 which means the d3 is more than likely not availible for employee cost purchase.

you seem to know alot about best buy policy

Posted Mar 15, 2007 · 03:08 UTC#11

3years and 7months there before I moved over to the red box.

Posted Mar 15, 2007 · 03:41 UTC#12

you said its likely they wont be available for the employee price? I live in Jacksonville, Florida. Is it because of the demand or what? Do you know "cntrylvr79"? You seem to know a lot about BB. Especially with the BB background. My friend also told me that this week or nextthe latest the store was going to "remodel" the whole car audio/video side of the store and that they would be introducing new items and have a whole new look. But he doesn't know what "new" items will be available. could that possibly be the D3???

Posted Mar 15, 2007 · 03:42 UTC#13

well its weird because the sku of the D3 can be scanned in the store, but it is not actually in the store. so some best buys will carry the unit, but as stated before, it depends on the region because of demand for the product. It is possible it will be listed online soon as well. It is nice knowing it can be scanned in store, because an extended service plan can be purchased for it as well for a length of 4 years

It's a combination of demand and the accomdation. They don't want employees buying all of their supply so they disable the employee purchase for a lot of new car audio. When the blue box picked up alpine we couldn't buy it at cost for 3 months. Like I said before try having the d3 customer fullfilled or ask the employee to check rss for it. As for the remodel bit, I couldn't say I don't work there anymore and the guys I used to work with have all moved out of carfi. It's great to watch a bay hat used to perform top 20 in the company consistantly drop to the bottom of the pack regularly.

By the way you guys are missing something here. Misfit is an authorized dealer, has the d3 in stock NOW for 850 that's not a bad deal by any stretch of the imagination.

Posted Mar 15, 2007 · 03:52 UTC#16

Agreed,

I would def. say that 850 is a VERY fair price especially from an authorized dealer.

hmm best buy policies must be different in US vs. Canada.... I got mine with the employee discount.

Hmm in the US in best buy, do you have to do crappy cheers and when you say loyalty or shrink your suppose to shout something back? Curious if they follow that practice..

Yup yet another reason on a very long list as to why i switched boxes.

The one thing that would get me to go with Best Buy is financing. I'm currently financing a plasma screen with them. Bought it the summer before last. They gave me 24 months same as cash. I pay $100.00 a month and I'm good to go. I'll have the thing paid off by the end of August. Sure it's a little PITA to remember to send in a check every month, but it was worth it to get the plasma and not have to wait. Had I used a credit card I'd end up paying probably $300.00 in interest charges.

If I could get 1 year free financing on the D3 that would be great. It would be no big deal for me to do $200 a month through August and then $100 after that until the D3 is paid off. Otherwise I'm going to have to squirrel away some cash and wait a few months to buy it.

Just don't miss a payment and make sure it's paid in full before the promotion expires. That happens and they'll smack you with ALL of the accrued interest.

Yeah, that's what I figured. That's why I'm going to make sure its all paid off at least two payments in advance of the due date.

My girlfriend just put her two weeks in yesterday at BBY and she checked for me to see if the D3s had popped into rss yet. She said they hadnt. I was hoping BBY would get them in before her two weeks are up but I decided to take advantage of the deal through Crutchfield. Is there an employee accomadatoin for Pioneer? And if so can you order the D3 now from Pioneer for $625? If so I just might have to return my CF order and save even more money.

Posted Mar 15, 2007 · 19:00 UTC#23

Yes, the accommadation is still valid, and anyone that works at BB qualifies... She just needs to print out the order form under her tagzone log in, and then mail it in. The sheet will tell you all of the prices, and the model numbers... D3 625.50, BTB-100 112.00, freight included. Please allow 6-8 weeks delivery. I called Pioneer on Monday, and they said I would receive my order in about 2 weeks. So overall, if it comes in on time it will have taken about 5 weeks overall. Very nice price, and I'm pretty sure Pioneer is an authorized sel...... oh yeah they are

Posted Mar 15, 2007 · 19:02 UTC#24

Addition: You have to pay with a bank draft or money order, so you will need to front the money right away. But other than that, it's a sweet deal!!!

Posted Mar 15, 2007 · 21:44 UTC#25

6-8 weeks. I got patience but damn. If I had to I would ( to save all that money of course) but if I knew for a fact the BB's in Jax, Fl would get some D3's then I wouldn't even have to wait the 6-8 weeks. I could just get my buddy to purchase it for me and get his employee discount through BestBuy. But if worse comes to worse I guess I would just have to wait the 6-8 weeks. And I also dont like the fact of sending a moeny order in the mail. I think its a little risky.
