Yeah it is kinda risky to send that in the mail... Thats why I took it straight to the post office and had it certified w/ tracking delivered... And I just called Pioneer a few days later to make sure they got it, and they did. So now I can rest assured my part is taken care of and they just need to process the rest. The accommodation price directly from Pioneer is 625.50 shipped, and you have to add your state sales tax (BASTARDS!) but when the sku is checked in-store at BB, it rings up for 667 I think. Like I said, it may take a 4-5 weeks to get it, but I can wait just a little longer.

Does anyone have an updated information or news about bestbuy getting the D3?

dont know why everyone has so much trouble getting them, i had them before anyone and still have them in stock

Not that its hard to get them, but I want to know when BestBuy will get the D3 so I can use my buddies employee discount from BestBuy.

Why ask us? You're buddy works there, have him find out since you'll be buying it through him anyway. The bb down the street from me has one right now, that doesn't mean anything for the rest of them though.

the circuit city i work at has gotten 3 already and i haven't checked but the 625 isn't cost on the d3, thats a special employee accomodation price for cc and bb employees.

yes i know. The $625 is the employee price my friewnd will get the unit for. I just dont know and he doesnt know when they are coming in. The managers are not telling the employess anything about the release or when they will be getting them. I dont know why but that is what he told me.

The BB instock date is 4/15 -Guys that work there, all you have to do is click additional detail. Its not availible customer fufillment. And the pionner deal rasied their price and its on back order its now just under 640. Also installers dont get $100 of the install, they are hourly just like everyone else. I'm waiting for them to get instock, cause the employee price is not bad at all (and we do get emp pricing, the unit is not price locked.)

Still availible, But its on backorder @ pioneer, So it will take longer to receive , If you download the updated accomadation form it will show a price adjustment and it will say backordered. Unless its been updated again since last week. And I work at BBY also

No thats cool, I'll check the acc. sheet tomorrow when I work... The D3 is on backorder, I put my order in about 4 weeks ago, and they said that I will get it in late April but I did get the BTB-200 yesterday.

word on the street is that D3s are beginning to show up as en route to the stores in the Best Buy system. Looks like the initial shipment is only 2 per store.......

Look they are for sale on the 22nd. Then there is an employee price for the D3. There also is no constraint on employee purchase of the D3. And within my District we are recieving 2-5 per store. Then also at the same time my District is receiving the Z2. At 1-3 per store. Same deal as the D3. No constraint. However buying through the Pioneer Accomodation is what is highly recommended.

And BBy strikes again... They have moved the street date back a week again.

I got mine thru BB by luck. i had to do a special order and got it with in 4 days. Working there has its benefits, plus i didnt really have to pay for it. Since the unit i previously had warranty all i had to do was swap for the D3. Plus the price we get is ridiculous.

Why is it so had to fine them still? I was a my local BB and they had 4...But they didn't have the iPod cable nor the BT adaptor (And they couldn't tell me if and when they'd arrive/get them at all)...

it is very simple BBY people......

look in RSS for a store that has it and ask for it to be transferred. If no store in ur district has it, find one relatively close, call them with your UPS number and have them ship it to the store. That way, YOUR store pays for shipping....then you can still get it at employee price.

going through accomidations is alright sometimes, but most times, its worth paying the extra few dollars to get it now

That pissed me off cuz last week i called 30 to transfer it, and the price was still valid. I came at a crossroad though because it is a hot item and I didnt want it to get sold / transferred elsewhere so i still bought it full price. Im hoping that the lockout will be less than 30 days, cuz then ill do a pricematch
