Hey, is this the one you saw? I haven't had much luck finding any, but here is some hope. Its not perfect but at least he was able to keep the vents.

Misfit installed a D3 w/all the fixins' today...it had been a mess from a previous install that wasn't that clean, evidently...Misfit cleaned it all up & really did a great job...cannot recommend highly enough...I will be giving him a shout again to re-install the N2 that he took out of my truck to put in my friends, if he's up for it :)

Another satisfied Misfit customer. Came today and installed my D3, BT, and iPod. All I can say is Wow. Do yourself a favor and call. Possibly the best install experience ever.

MisFit,

Have you done BMW installs before? Would you be comfortable doing one in a 2002 530i (no nav or dsp)? I am looking to buy a D3, ipod, bluetooth combo. PM me if you can. If not, would it make sense for me to ask you to do a custom bezel and then install it in a pro shop? The reason is that the one they showed me in my local shop just looks too plain, and I've seen much better on the net.

thanks.

I'd love to see the results for the BMW 5 Series, if Misfit can do it. The e39 is a tough job because some fabbing needs to be done behind the dash to allow a double din to fit IIRC.

I'm looking for a 540i myself, and would love to see a good custom job.

Dman, I assume you looked in the bimmerfest forums. There is a pic of a great double din install in 5 series by some guy in Japan, it sticks out an inch, but looks OEM, he even matched the leather trim to factory dash, very nice install.

Did some searching and just found out that MisFit is not a big fan of euro installs, too bad, still would be great if I found someone who would make similar bezel for a good price.

Offending post removed.

Nothing to see here, move along. To those that read the orignal posts, the 300 installed price was for a pioneer camera, not the boyo lic. plate cam.

EXCELLENT INSTALL!

I had my D3 installed today by misfit, now that is pro work!

If I can recommend anyone to do an installation its this man!!! 8)

thanks man, just doing my job

Misfit just came out and installed my D3. If you're in NJ, definitely reach out to him for installs. I'm a guy who usually does everything himself, like most of you here, I'm sure.

I was a little hesitant because of the VSS tap and the BT unit so I was going to use 'Professional' install services. I had a $100 Best Buy cert that would have made my install $50. After researching the forum, I went with misfit instead and am more that pleased.

You'd be a fool not to use him for any of his installation services.

5 stars

-Neat/Clean

-No problem getting around the vehicle (meaning, no broken pieces/tabs/connectors)

-Cut, wrapped and joined all connections clean (no Poor man's toolkit aka tape)

Stellar Recomendation

I just had Matt (Misfit) come to my house this morning and install an Avic-D3 in my 07 WRX limited. I can not recommend him enough if you live in the NJ area. He is a true professional and a very nice guy all around. The look in my car really does look OEM and he did such a wonderful job I have no worries at all at this install. He is a great installer and very reasonably priced.
