I was told by the 800 number I had to buy through a dealer, they could not sell it to me.

just spent 3 hours battleing with customer support(Joke). they stated the disc is unavailable to public and must be installed thru dealer that installed unit. did I mention I've been a mcertified master tech for 29 years. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN PURCHASE THIS UPGRADE DISC?

Try your local dealer and see if they will order it for you. They make money just handing you the package so I don't see why they wouldn't

All local dealers within 200 miles do not have or will not order disc for anybody as per maufactures request

Well, that's another alleged date of release from Pioneer that has passed with no new update info. Anybody heard any new rumors lately?

It's on the Pioneer site also (for $250). I should have checked there before my last post, but no one else had said anything, and I had gotten tired of checking the Pioneer site and finding nothing.

I just checked the pioneer website and there is still no "buy now" button under the product. Were you able to find somewhere on Pioneer's site that you can actually purchase the discs?

No, all they've done is just added a picture of the disc. Oh well, I guess that's some progress?

found an installer who has disk and was willing to install update even when he did not install unit.
only problem so far is that the update wiped out my bluetooth connectionto my Treo 650. had to re-establish conttection,but keeps losing and will not reconnect after two days. Tried to re-establish and still no luck. had no problem with Z1 software in reference to conntection to phone
