I'm running it on a n2. It doesn't look like it updated anything major. The maps are 100% better and more accurate in my area. The deadspots that I had on my 60 maps were all fixed and mis-labeled streets were also corrected. Also, a lot of the brand new POI's in my area have been updated, although I did notice it had a "Speedway" gas station in the middle of one of the neighborhoods around my house but same old pioneer bullshit I guess.

Posted Jul 27, 2007 · 16:23 UTC#53

I did notice on Pioneer's site it mentioned it wouldnt update anything major, including iPod or XM interface but to me the most important was new streets and POI's. My job wont ever give me a full week's vacation, so the wife and I take weekend roadtrips all over the northeast and I hated it when certain POI's werent listed. These new discs definitely soved almost 100% of that problem for me!

If I could get a copy of these DVDs, I'll upload them to Rapidshare for everyone to download for free.

I don't have a rep. here but was referred here from ClubLexus.com where I have a strong reputation.

PM me if you'd like to help out.

And that would be fair how?

Posted Jul 27, 2007 · 19:16 UTC#56

Fair in what way?

I'd be willing to upload a few gigs of data so everyone can have the DVDs for free. Seems reasonable to me.

Most of us have shelled out thousands for our units and if we live in places like Boston with the Big Dig, our DVDs were almost useless out of the box.

I don't think we should have to drop a few more hundred just to have an accurate map.

well, darn it.....................mail just went by, and nothing today, hopefully tomorrow, but darn it I won't be here.........going on my trip, I was kinda hoping I would have it before hand, but oh well.

Posted Jul 27, 2007 · 21:41 UTC#58

No one here is just going to send you something for free so you can so generously upload it. Buy a copy like the rest of us

Posted Jul 27, 2007 · 23:58 UTC#59

In response to "buy a copy like everyone else" .. haha why don't YOU go buy a copy like everyone else. From Pioneer I mean. How is downloading it for free any more immoral or wrong than what you are doing. In your case it's actually worse because someone is making money off you by bootlegging software.

I didn't say it was immoral, he is asking for a free set of discs to be shipped to him which doesn't seem right. The person who made the discs took time out of their busy lives to go buy the dl discs, burn the discs , make some flawless dvd covers, and ship them; I'm sorry, but I feel as if this person deserves to be compensated for this..It saves me time and from paying $250. So yea my case is worse because I paid someone for service so that I wouldn't have to fuck with it. No one said anything about it being immoral? Just don't think a copy should be sent to some random person just so they can help the rest of the world out, if your so content with saving the world buy a copy yourself like the rest of us and then upload it.

It's been 3 days for me too, but yeah it's the mail, I'm not sweating it either, mine was accepted on the 24th, today is the 27th, I am SURE it will be here tomorrow, if not, no big deal, I am leaving on a trip, so I won't be back till Monday anyway, no biggie, like I said I was kinda hoping it would be here before I left on the trip but I wasn't planning on updating my system with it before I got back anyway, cause with my luck, I would screw up my system SOMEHOW, and I wouldn't be able to use it for the trip, and I would have to listen to the wife the whole trip.

Really? Well don't bitch at me. I already have quite a few messages thanking me! Why dont you check your tracking number and see that I "supposedly" shipped it on the 24. Go bitch at your mailman for being too lazy to take out all his mail to deliver every day:

I would not worry about what he has to say. It is not your fault. It is just that the USPS sucks. I am one state over and I still did not get mine. I went and complained to the post office. It is useless though, they always say "It is not guaranteed to be here in 3 days." My mom takes medication to prevent siezures. She has her meds shipped here. Last week she ran out of medicine because it took 2 weeks to ship priority. This is the main reason why everyone tries to do things by email.

Sorry , I just had to vent.

Thanks for sending these out though.

I just called the post office to make sure I was right earlier in my post about the priority thing. They told me that it could take up to 14 days to recieve a priority package. If you go to their website it states that priority packages are delivered in 2 to 3 days on average.

Posted Jul 28, 2007 · 17:04 UTC#71

Mine came by UPS - Tracking number search showed it arriving on Wednesday and it showed up on Tuesday. Not a big deal for me as I still didn't install it until last night. Details of that install are on thread - Z1 Update.

Shoman94,

Check the tracking # again. Your package arrived at your local post office this morning.... Don't blame me because it took them 4 days instead of 2-3.

Wow I created a rucuss... lol I was cranky that day with work and carried it over here. Sorry if you took it the wrong way...I was really bitching about USPS not you. I just got home... and saw it delivered....

In anycase... this is the first time it ever took longer than 3 days with priority for me. Usually NY shipping only takes 2 days. USPS sucks but they are cheap.

Anyways.... Thanks for the sweet DVD's ....I gotta go install them now.
