I have a semi working 40R+70MTP hybrid going on my P6400CD/AVIC-90 system.
Can someone do a binary comparison of the region.kwi file on both E and W of the 70MTP. My "pressed originals" (as I'm told) have the same sum. Previous versions of E/W always differed -- I think this is what is causing my system to crash when I do an address search.
By the way, as previously mentioned in another thread, the DVI.DAT file variable "DISC VERSION" must match the prg file (in this case the eu010apl.prg file on the 40R). However, I think only the first 3 characters are important:
mainDiscCheck.c
*******
05RFFFFF
KIWI
05R*****
DVDCD:\DVI.DAT
ATA:\DVI.DAT
SRAM:\DISCINFO.DAT
SRAM:\DISCINFO.DAT
I haven't valdiated that yet. I figure if I bump the version by 1 it will reload the entire OS and disk.
Anybody have a 60M set they can transfer?
Also, where there multiple 40M/40R versions? I see on 50 for 1.0 and 1.1. And I have noticed the tracking on my 40R is slightly off at intersections even after calibration.
This is my hybrid DVI.DAT file:
DISC VERSION [05R03U00]
FORMAT [KIWI]
MAP VERSION [67]
MARKET VERSION [uC]
DATE [070522]
DISC NAME [CNDV-70R/UC1-A]
TP APL VERSION [***]
RC APL VERSION [4.000004]
DATA COMPANY [iPC]
The only changes from my 40R are the Map version, Date and disk name.
Also, from what I can tell, the AVIC-90 isn't picky about the disk format. I'm using Verbatim DVD+R DLs mastered as DVD+R (not ROM) and strickly CD/ISO9660 format. The UDF stuff is just way to alpha for my taste.
Heck, I wonder if I could dump this to a flash drive and boot the avic from that.
