From: Ford's Warranty is a joke. Your claim has been denied.

    By JasonH

Why your Ford warranty is worthless... I don't usually post rants, but I'm sure this has happened or will happen to someone else.   I'll shorten the story down to a few simple points:   It all starts with my 2007 Ford Mustang. The rear differential went out at 36k miles; the drivetrain warranty is 5yr/60k. My car gets towed to the nearest dealer, they spend 4 days looking at it, then tell me it's not covered under the warranty due to "driving beyond the vehicle's limit" and now wants $2600

AVIC N-4 Display

I recently purchased a Pioneer AVIC N-4 unit off Ebay. The unit seems to be working fine but for some reason the time does not display on the front display when I close the screen. Does that mean something is wrong with the unit or was it installed wrong?

XM May 6th 2011 Logo Update...D/N/F/Zx series!

Changes/Improvements/Issues:   - Image table update for all May 2011 XM lineup changes including new channels and channel name/number changes.   - Update of all images from the latest channel guide.   - Sports channels still alternate between "Sports XXX", "NBA XXX" etc. and "Sports Play-By-Play". The logo will only appear if the channel name uses the name with the number in it, i.e. "Sports 190" or "NBA 218", etc. There is no way to avoid this and at this time I still don't know which nam

AVIC 700BT Bluetooth Problem

I have a AVIC700BT installed in my wife's cavalier and the bluetooth will not start up. Usually the blue light should turn on indicating that the bluetooth is working and in this case it doesn't turn on. Does anyone have a fix for this?

From: AVIC411 is 5 Years Old!

I meant to post this on October 15th, but got caught up in all the recent upgrades, so it's a slightly belated birthday. Anyway... AVIC411 is 5 years old! Happy Birthday to us! AVIC411 was created on October 15th 2005 and started with just a few posts made by myself. It's now 5 years (and a few days) later and we have grown to over 219,000 posts, and have over 45,000 members. AVIC411 has gone through 3 major software changes (phpbb2, phpbb3, Invision Power Board) and has needed to move to a

From: AVIC Z110BT/Z120BT Bypass Instructions

Step 1: Take the MUTE wire, and move exactly one position over. Its located on the AV harness.   Step 2: Then, as before, take that wire and tie it & and the unit's green parking brake wire to ground.   Step 3: Enjoy your Z to its fullest potential!   Special thanks to "daddy" who helped me out on figuring out how to pull the pins. And of course, this was the 5th of 7 open pins that I tried before I hit the gold-mine...but well worth the effort!   BTW, I used a super small jewel

AVIC Firmware Update 2.003 Released!

The latest software version 2.003 has just been released! This software is for the AVIC-X920BT, AVIC-Z120BT (and the AVIC-Z110BT that has been updated to the 2010 software.) Fixes: Phonebook contacts are no longer being displayed backwards (Last Name, First Name) on the headunit when using V-Cards. Contacts now always show (First name, Last Name). The biggest fix is that VR cataloging now starts correctly when the ok button is pressed.

2010 Pioneer Road Show Recap

The 2010 Road Show has sadly come to an end, and AVIC411 was there with a exclusive first look at the new Z120BT. Here’s a summary of what we know: 1. The Z120BT is basically a Z110BT with new, radically improved software. 2. The Z110 will get a software upgrade at some point in time to turn it into a Z120.
