Unfortunately you have to touch your phone once in a while even with the right ios and Appext installed, remember that the blobs in cydia for ios 6.x.x do not work, if you saved them manually then your are good to go, if not you won't be able to downgrade from ios 7. I'm using 6.1.2 with the latest appext installed and it works like a charm.
