  1. can anyone link me to where I can buy a premier to import into the UK?
  2. mine is quick to scroll between albums, but with about 400 albums on there it takes me ages to get to the middle of the album as I have to press the down button about 50 times and wait inbetween. am I missing something? is there a faster way to scroll through the albums? It may look like the shuttle wheel of the ipod, but its not like I can operate it in the same way!
  3. thanks guys. It didn't occur to me to look in nav settings because the tone occurs in any setting, not just navigation. This will make the unit practically perfect, if only I could get it to batch upload my phone book from my LG viewty, but its not going to happen!
  4. Hi all, just fitted my D3 with bt finally and completely love it in almost everyway. Except. the bloody touch tones are getting on my nerves. Is there a way to turn off the tones or at least reduce the volume. The bloody "ding" is doing my head in!
  5. I am waiting for my unit to be supplied by pioneer GB. When it arrives, I am more than happy to help out if I can.
  6. If someone tells me how to mirror the discs, I will be making a "backup" of my own euro supplied discs. Of course I would "never" supply someone in need with a copy as that would be copyright infringement!
  7. euro versions do have RDS, you can check out the RDS features from pioneer UK website support section where you can download the manuals. Not sure about US dvds, will try one, but I know that the US map disc does work on a UK machine. Pointless to me though as I shalln't be shipping my car out for the navi each time I visit the states. Am more likely to stick the tom tom in the hand luggage like I did last time.
  8. right, so its because it is also a nav unit and therefore has a 3d accelerometer which it also relies upon. Great! lucky I found this forum otherwise I would have wondered why the handbrakew wire grounding alone wouldn't have fixed the issue. thanks again.
  9. Not tried this yet, just wondering if anyone can think why it might not work? Also, I have had pioneer video playing head units in the past that have only required grounding of the handbrake wire, out of interest, what happens if you only do that with te D3 and don't bother with grounding and switching the location of the mute wire?
  10. I was always told that sat nav is no substitute for local knowledge. I don't mind driving a little further to know I will get there. In the UK turning left is no issue, turning right however, we'll see what it says. Perhaps the nav set up will be different for countries that drive on the left. I know that I took my TomTom to florida recently and had a heart attack when it couldn't find the car rental return at miami international, I had 30 mins before check in closed and the low fuel light had been on for the last 30 miles of the I95. I started to panic, ditched the Tom Tom
  11. Why not? I can do that with my £250 Tom Tom, whats wrong with the D3?
  12. Hi, I am new here so certainly no expert, but I am in the UK if that helps. I see no reason why it would not work as we have managed to use EU discs sucessfully in imported japanese cars hat have run japan's version of pioneer head units without any problems. They need a frequency expander due to the difference in their broadcast radio stations, but the US uses the same frequencies as the uk. There is a huge price difference (like double) and we have to pay for the ipod adapter separately, but we do get the bluetooth module and according to the pioneer uk website, the manual fo
