1. Hey, is there any way to get the navi.exe posted? Only reason why I ask is my brother is "resourceful" programmer, he could possibly help shed some light... if you'd rather not due to legal issues..i totally understand... Thanks...

Installation Price?

are they doing any dash customization? i have a 2001 druango, which had a chrysler 1.5 din opening, which was wider then normal. they had to do a lot of customizing to get the radio to look semi-factory. they charged like 600-700. if no customization, and u have a double din opening, no more then 150 to 250. everythign is straightforward.
4. any left out there? no one seems to have em. i thought pioneer started mass shipping these things last week?
5. holy cr@p! did this thread explode or what? gonan take me forever to catch up now...but I like what ive seen so far...
6. Im sure everyone on this board concurs... Also, have u noticed that the soudn quality of the "recorded" songs sound liek crap. the manual claims its 128k, but stil sounds like sh**. you lose all crispness. if i play a audio cd, or even an mp3 cd for that matter, sounds a LOT better.
7. Does anyone know what exact model hard drive is in the unit? I think I recall reading that it was a toshiba drive. If thats the case, they do have some backdoor passwords that toshiba uses to unlock drives. But, it depends on the model.
8.

has anyone tried the xbox trick? i dont have an xbox, otherwise id try it....
I've hacked an xbox if thats what you mean.
I meant, has anyone tried the xbox hack to get into teh Z1 drive...
9. has anyone tried the xbox trick? i dont have an xbox, otherwise id try it....
10. I do not believe this is possible... I have tried numerous different ways. I have evn tried burning mp3 dvd's, but the unit would not see them as valid discs. Until they hack the HD, the only way to get songs on t eh hd is by "recording" them from an audio cd.
11. Any luck guys? im tryign to locate an xbox so i can try the xbox trick...
12. Wow....1st time my theory on a forum turned out to be correct one :) (Or at least putting us on the proper path) I've been out of town a few days, cant wait to get home and pop out my hd from teh z1.
13. Hmm, One last thought... I didnt see that you already tried dskprobe.... That beign the case, sounds like teh drive is "password protected". What I mean by this is most laptops have options to put a password on your hard disk (not to be confused with a BIOS password). When you boot up with a drive liek this, it would prompt you for a password. And if you dont put the correct password, the drive wont even show up in any tool. For example, In my IBM thinkpad, I have 2 drives. the main which I boot from, and a 2nd drive in a secondary bay adapter. I keep all my data on
14. Has anyone tried the Maxtor Disk tools? I'm geussing that this would at least allow you to identify the disk type?
