hey smarsh I think it depends on where you are. I live in LA and some parts of LA area dont get anything and some parts do. I will most certainly check into that log thing you are talking about and see if it works for me. How do you get to the log is it on the head unit itself or do i have to pull the HDD out? thanks

First all thank you everyone for your replies. It seems like were all in the same shoe. smarsh Yes i did the bypass via CD image. I think the problems does rely on how XM is sending the signal and how are converted Z2's are reciving that signal as well. I live in Southern California. For the past couples days the NAVTRAFFIC has gotten better sometimes it stays on throughtout my whole drive which is more than 20 min. So I think if you have just converted from Z1 to Z2 and just keep on driving on your daily routines and soon or later it should be on most of the time (I HOPE ).

PS The XM Radio works fine and i have strong signal pretty much everywhere but the NAV Traffic only works for about 20 min. ANYONE???

Thanks bobmun!!!! Will Try! Also one more question when i press the "v" button next to the "open/close" button it should bring up a screen where i can control the dimmer, brightness, etc. I was able to that before on the z1 but when i converted to z2 i can not do that. ANY THOUGHTS???? Thanks

PLEASE HELP!!! I just did the convert from Z1 to Z2 and when i try to update to do the bypass it gets to the screen where it says "start update" and asks yes or no but the "yes" button is greyed out and can only pick no. ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!! THANKS

I also just got done with upgrading the Z1 to Z2. Used the original HDD works perfectly!!

Thanks so i can just keep the old ducatiboy circuit in there without taking it out? So im guessing everybody that converted to Z2 from Z1 had no problems?

If I convert my Z1 to Z2 do i need to take out ducatiboy circuit board(Z1 nav made June 2006) and just do the 2 wire bypass or could i just keep it in? Also anyone have any succes with converting a Z1 to Z2 with no problems and they followed the steps on this website?

I have the Z1 and when i press the eject button it wont open up to load CDs all it does is beep. Can anyone help? Has anyone had this problem?
