will the D3 using xm navtraffic automatically reroute me according to traffic conditions ahead? or do I need to figure out the route and it just tells me traffic is slow ahead?

its not that hard to take the unit out to adjust that.

i just had my D3 hooked up on sunday. i dont have my onstar activated, but for giggles, i pressed the onstar button, and could HARDLY hear the voice on the other end. and i mean, it was so quiet, i didnt even think it was even working. my mute wire was moved for the bypass. also, my stock xm antenna was used for the new xm box.

hey all.. i just got my D3 installed today. thanks alyn!! any way. i havent setup the navtraffic, yet... but i put in my route to work, and im not hearing the navigation tell me "turn right.. " etc. i have the voice turned up all the way, and the mute setting set. the D3 is also bypassed. what could i have missed?

2003 silverado SS with factory XM antenna.. we cannot get any XM signal.. anyone know why this would be? anyone else ever have issues with factory xm antennea?

if they have to fight for it.. all the more better. either they wreck thier prized booty and cant fence it, or they give up cuz its too hard, or better yet, it slows them down so I catch them in the act and go midevil on thier buttocks.

can anyone recommend some 7 mm security screws\bolts.. onces that you need a special screwdriver to apply\remove? im thinking of replacing my stock bolts with security bolts so my avic isnt as easy to steal. they may still get it and do more dammage, but hopefully, they will just give up if they cant unscrew it.

i just need the xm power cable, xm ip bus cable, and xm data cable and id be able to install it. CC and BB do not carry these cables in stock.. anyone got some they want to sell?

it will show that if you're using xm though.. which is all i care about since i dont really listen to regular radio that much.

ok do i need to connect this unit to the D3 with the ipbus cable AND the XM data cable??

im not going to have the rear camera, so i dont need to connect the reverse wire do i?

ive done some searches, but there were so many i started to get confused. my D3 will be here tomorrow. i have the xm tuner here now my truck is a 2003 silverado ss. with xm and on star the D3 has the bypass done to it . i dont have the bluetooth adapter, yet. when i get it i know i can sync it to my phone, but can i wire it in to use the built in mic that's over my head in the truck to the bluetooth adapter? it would rock if i can.. also do i need to use the mute wire for this type of hookup?

well, my d3 will be here tuesday night.are there any chicago land installers that i can hook up with on here? i dont want to go to CC or BB .. id rather hook up wiht a local decent installer from this forum if possible

my buddy has a scion tc. he wants one of these. what does he need for VSS and for steering wheel controls?

If you've ever watched the show, the ancient technology they use has these wild screen that would just look sweet. i think what would be more obtainable would be a picture of a Blue 2003 Silvearado SS, with the "SS" logo in it.. since thats what it will be installed in.

i dont have ANY tools to make a click background for my D3. If anyone here is a sci fi fan, and knows of a way to make an ancient background from stargate atlantis.. let me know

my dash came with windows mobile 6 already on it.. do i need that leaked update you spoke of? also, where do i get it?
