Just following up to state that I have tried both (1) and (2) and they work great. (1) is better overall since it is inexpensive and all apps mirror perfectly. Youtube and Netflix did not work with option (2) because of airplay issues either by apple or the apps themselves. Alternatives to YouTube like Mctube worked though.

These settings worked great. First settings I've used that had the SD videos show up on the screen. Thanks. About your question: pg. 169 in the ops manual stated that USB and SD video will not go out to the rear displays

Z150 with iPhone 5 - (AppRadio Mode Problems)
bcsomos replied to phearn's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
That is weird. I don't even use the lightning to USB cable half the time as it is only needed for charging. I only use the apple lightning A/V HDMI adapter then an HDMI cable from there into the back of the Z150BH. I do have a usb cable running to the usb port in the back of the radio for charging but I do not have the CD-IH202 kit so don't use that square connector. -
If you are running an iPhone or iPod with lightning connector you will only be able to get DVD to show on the rear display unless you do something special. Why?: 1. iPod source is not available when connected using the HDMI connection. You have to get a lightning to 30 pin connector then use CD-IU201N. **However functions relating to video and appradio mode are still not available** (pg. 108 in operator manual) 2. USB and SD do not output video to the rear (pg. 169 in operator manual) This only leaves 2 options now, AV1 or AV2. This means we have to somehow adapt the lightning con

Does a grey coloured box show up with the letters "ATT" when you loose volume? I have experienced this after anywhere form 40 mins to 60 mins of driving. I haven't done any troubleshooting as it hasn't happened in a while and my travels are typically less than 40 mins. From what I recall reading it had something to do with sound Attenuation?? Where something is wanting to lower or mute the audio... If it ever happens again for me or becomes a nagging problem I will look into further.

Hello All. Great forum and tons of good information! Somethings I haven't been able to find relating to the dual zone (rear zone) video output and video formats on the Z150BH: - Is there a way to have the Netflix or Slingplayer app on your iPhone 5 broadcast to the rear zone video output? I can launch those apps and watch video on the Z150BH screen but I can't figure out how to get it to show on the rear monitors. The DVD outputs fine. - What are the exact specs on video requirements for SD card? I checked the manual (400 x 240 pixels, 2.5 Mbps, 30 fps etc...) and tried creating

You do not need to buy the pioneer kit. All you need is the Apple Lightning Digital AV adapter (about $50) and the Apple USB to Lighning cord (about $20) and a highspeed HDMI cable (as little as $10). The USB port in the back of the radio will charge your phone, and the HDMI port is used for the AppRadio interface. I have this setup but I also use an intermediate USB cord (male to female panel mount that also included the mini jack) that I plug the lighting to USB cord into. This saves me from burying the iphone cable behind my dash and made for a cleaner install.
