  1. as it pertains to file format though like: Avi, WMA, Svcd, Vcd, MPEG, AVI and so forth. Or do you have to burn it in dvd format? I know some of the other players take Vcd and Svcd formats. I've looked around but can't find anything! Thanks
  2. So do you recommend any particular format, to burn my DVD's in to get the most out of my Z2? I mainly have downloaded music videos but the occasional movie is nice. Thanks
  3. First off, thanks a lot for the quick post, you guys are awesome. Secondly a few more questions from a beginner. How do I know if my parking brake wire is grounded? What color is it and where is it located When I got the unit installed my installer said he didn't know how to bypass the unit but I almost remember him saying that he would ground that wire to see what effect it has on the system. Sometimes when I start the car I get the "improper connection" message. Does this mean that it is ground or that it isn't hooked up at all. I am going to attempt the grounding technique that you suggested
  4. There are a couple of wires that are not hook,ed up to anything when I take my deck out. They are as followed: 1. Guide On 2. Antenna Control 3. Mute Do any of these hold importance to my system? I can sort of figure out the last 2 but the first one sounds kind of important. Any ideas? Thanks
  5. I am currently trying the 2 wire bypass. I snaked the "mute" wire that was not being used from connector 1. I am going to install that wire in the noted connector 2 spot (bottom right corner) but this wire needs to be ground and I can't find anywhere to ground it. I was wondering if I could "piggyback" it onto another wire that is already being grounded. And if I can which wire that comes out of either connectors, 1 or 2, or my power supply is the one that is being grounded? Is there a specific color? In looking at my wires I see that the "ACC" wire is already being "piggybacked". Is this the
  6. I am attempting to bypass my z-2. I have downloaded the needed files and burned them onto a cd, I am now ready to "2 wire bypass" but I need a little clarification. Method 2 states that it will only work with z-2's, again I have followed all the steps for this method (1-4) but when I follow the posted link the 2 wire bypass instruction state that these instructions are for z1 units. Never, in the entire article, does it state that these instructions can be used for a z2. Am I just looking too far into this or can this wire bypass only be used for z1's. Do I need to do the 2 wire bypass to comp
