Been in about 4 days now. Illumination wire wasn't hooked up before on previous radio and there was not a orange wire on the wiring harness that the shop used. That left me with no illumination for this radio. Also, at night shouldn't the map view be dark?

I bought this unit (D3) not really concerned about the navigation, but since it was just connecting a couple wires I gave it a shot. I searched the net and got info off of this site giving me 3 answers to the VSS wire for the O5 Magnum SXT. 1- there is not vss wire, 2- green/brown wire passenger side firewall and 3- orange/white wire driver side firewall. The green/brown wire gave me nothing. The orange/white wire gave me a reading that just jumped all of the place whether I was sitting idle or moving. So, for now the VSS is not hooked up. The GPS follows ok, but accurate and sometime

VSS Didn't work for me. Still lurking for it. Otherwise everything else is fine.............. I purchased another pioneer because I wanted the same EQ options and sound quality I got out of the DEH6600 because the POS motor of the screen went out. This units sound quality blows the older generation out of the water. High are more crisp and bass is more clean and deeper.

Can you dumb that down for me a lil bit so I can be sure. Found that plug and a brown/green wire. How do find "pin 32" if its not marked. Thanx in advance Greg

I am replacing my pioneer 6600 with the D3 unit. Since, I am replacing with same brand of radio, I am crossing my fingers that the plugs match up on the wiring, but not holding my breath. If not, I'm sure the re=wiring should be fairly quick. Fairly quick until I have to deal with the navigation. Where on a Magnum can you find the VSS wire? I have search on the net, through a few forms and closest that I seen is that there is not a VSS wire on the Magnum. True? False? If true where? If I didn't bother hooking it up, what would I be losing in overall performance? One more quest
