  1. I used a generic radio shack one 32gb, just make sure it's formatted as fat32.
  2. Right I have found the fault The apple lightning adapter or apple iPhone is at fault. I've tried the adapter tonight via HDMI on my TV and the screen speckles every second on small bands around the bottom of the screen. This is happening either touching the phone or not, wiggling the HDMI wire has no effect attached to the TV however it happens when attached to the radio.
  3. Blue tooth , there is a separate volume besides the master volume for phone calls , I've never had issue there. No way for the clock as I've found other than pressing the home button twice back to home screen. I've frond having the app radio app running on your phone all the time sorts out the screen pressing fiasco. I also recommend stezza as its a more driver friendly interface. The pioneer one you tend to keep catching the facia as the play/next etc.. Buttons are far too low to it and far too small for a car radio.
  4. Yep I had the bright idea of doing this but it's totally beyond the head unit I'm afraid. If you want to change from one to the other , allow around 5 mins spare , turn the car off, turn Bluetooth off, turn car on and remove keys , connect iPod , go into settings , change connection type to OTHER and the iPod icon should be enabled. Then once you have iPod connected enable Bluetooth on the phone. You can then enable the hands calling if required. To be fair its stupid when you think this is a car radio designed to be used while driving, pioneer forgot that.
  5. I've found it looks like a HDMI issue at the apple Lightning AV adapter. The HDMI is firmly inerted into the apple adapter but any light touch on the HDMI connector ( not the cable ) starts it to speckle. I will test my apple adapter on my home tv to see if that's at fault. It could be down to the supplied HDMI from pioneer, so maybe an easy fix by replacing the wire.
  6. It's not broken or anything it's a con. You need to buy the 2 part cable 30pin with USB in the middle wire. Buy from china on eBay for about $20 , that's what I did. Also I run ( well I did ) a 160gb classic on my radio and tried to then connect iPhone 5 too and oh boy is it a nightmare. I'd recommend just throwing a few songs on your phone like me because you will get frustrated very quickly dicking about tring to swap from one device to another.
  7. Hi , I bought this app radio 3 like 2 months ago and to be fair its appalling. Any iPhone notification shuts the thing down while in use leaving you to drive and turn back on the music app. Today the iPhone pioneer app updated while in use and screwed up the radio leaving it is some sort of loony loop and turning the ignition off would sort ( not a good thing when your on the freeway ). Non of the on screen icons would respond displaying the finger cross even on the non iPhone application screen. Now my latest loony fault. When the radio is cold and any tiny road bump now makes
  8. you don't flip the switch when you want it to work, its permanent ! i pressed mine once on install, dropped it under the dash and thats it job done. i turn the vehicle on & off all day long if i want to and the bypass is there every time all the time because its 100% permanently bypassed. whoever told you that this bypass needs attention every time you turn the radio on is telling a few fairy tails. Its bypassed until you choose to either remove the switch, turn off the bypass or remove the radio. Its like a 30 second install and less than a dollar.
  9. switch is a permanent bypass until you choose to turn it off and costs less than a dollar, i bet it also takes less time to do too. It is also illegal to drive whilst viewing video contents , if you see the police looking you can flick the switch to disable from viewing eyes.
  10. Hi Go to your local electronics store and buy push to make switch ( can be any size your fancy or and design ) with 2 terminals some wire same thickness if you like of the parking brake wire, i bought some 6amp thats it attach the parking brake wire to one side of the switch ( by snipping of the blue connector on the brake wire ) attach some wire to the other terminal ( size dependant on next bit ) put the loose wire from the switch to anything metal on the car OR to the black wire on your radio loom ( i did to the loom because my radio bay is encased in a plastic
