  1. Guys, I am again looking at a Z2 or Z3 but it's been soo long that I forgot most of the stuff I read about it. The MAIN reason that I am considering this unit is the ability it had to show up to FIVE different routes in the GPS and that it showed them right there and then on the screen, without any need to choose a different route or click anything just to see the different options. However, I also know they dont' make them and I'm wondering if this is a good idea. I saw a couple on ebay and they were talking about updated maps from 2012. Can I update to the lasest maps and is it ha
  2. Pretty sure 'cause that's what got me all hot and bothered but hey, I CAN be wrong. It HAS happened before
  3. It's ok, at least you tried I can't believe they took away that feature. Pioneer you suck! Oh well, on with the hunt. Thanks bro George
  4. Please scroll down to post #10 as I will re open this thread... Guys, I saw a Z1 or Z3 a couple of years ago and I was really thrilled with the multiple route feature that actually SHOWS all the different routes in different colors at the same time, rather than you having to scroll through different routes. Can someone please post a picture of this so that I can use to show people when I'm trying to explain what I'm talking about? I talked to Pioneer some time ago and they told me that if I update the firmware on one of these units, I'll lose this feature. Is this true?
  5. Guys, can someone post some pics of the screen of a Pioneer navigation unit that shows the MULTIPLE/ALTERNATE routes ON the screen? What is this feature called and WHO other than Pioneer has it and do ALL pioneer units have this? Looking for a new unit but I want THIS feature. Thanks George
  6. Guys, I decided to try a Pioneer (sold my Kenwood unit) mainly because I loved the multi route feature on the Pioneer. Ie, where you type in the address and on the screen, you get up to five different routes in different colors and you can just click the one you want. Also, I like the fact that there is this very active forum. So, I bought a used F700BT and got kinda hosed but that's another story. Had to have it pimped and other stuff done to it and finally (from when I bought it used to when I got it pimped and ready to go, all in all, it prolly took around 2 years during w

  8. Could someone send me the pics of this mod so I can see it and if needed, I'll be glad to host the pics on my site for free of course and I don't plan on taking the site down for any reason in the foreseeable future so they should be accessible for a long time. IF they are BIG files, don't send too many at one time or it'll screw up the email. 15 megs max please. Send to info AT georgepics DOT COM Thanks GEorge
  9. Well, 12 bucks is incredible but let's see some links and samples of the really good quality ones please...
  10. Well damn Sam! How's the quality? Thanks
  11. I had one that I bought a couple of years ago but didn't like it. Also, if you have screen captures of yours, please post them. Thanks George
  12. Thanks but one guy here from Idaho has offered to help so as soon as I figure out how to rip it out the dash, I'm shipping it to him. THanks though George
  13. Not that simple for me and besides, there are other factors involved in my case..
  14. Your'e under the assumption that I have a normal brain bro...I don't...
  15. THanks bro. I'm the original op by the way but another dude chimed in and I'm gonna send the whole unit to him. That way he can check a lot of other stuff too so I'm good. I appreciate the offer though. IF you have lots of people doing this, make a bit of money from it. Just sell'em a card with the instructions or if you have the time, let them send the units to you or of course like you said, just have them send the card and pay shipping both ways with a small donation Thanks George
  16. Ok boys, I'm gonna run out of money here soon which usually means I'll be flat broke so now's the time to do this while I still have money to ship this thing and pay the pimper something. I've had several replies but no one tells me how much they want to do this. Remember, I WOULD like for you to update it with a better firmware (preferably give me a choice of one if possible) and update the maps. Also, hook it up to any vehicle to see that it's actually working. I'll send the harness so you can make sure that the hardware bypass IS actually working. What's this gonna cost me (for
  17. Hey, where are you in Jersey? I have a friend of mine that I'm shipping stuff off to soon, maybe I can do it at the same time? He's in Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 Thanks George
  18. Other than the obvious, (shipping and so on), how much would you charge me to do this and could you test it up there to make sure things are ok and it's not just my unit that ain't right? Thanks George
  19. Anyone? Got a reply from someone but haven't heard back from that person so I'm still looking. I have some cash now so I can pay or trade for stuff, needless to say, depending on what it'll cost me. Thanks George
