  1. I downloaded the "West" disc and got 7.93GB. When unzipping the "East" disc, I got 7.61GB from a 3.36GB zip file. Everything seems alright for me. I am burning the discs with Mac OS X's Disc Utility now. Hey, I'm using Mac too. Has anyone had any luck burning with the Mac I kept getting a read error after I burned my disks and put them in the D3. I'm using Mac OSX Leopard and burned with Toast. I updated my D3 using the West disc and it worked without problems.
  2. sounds like you may have had a route programmed and then ejected the disc, forcing it into memory nav mode. i bet if you went outside the city it would need the disc again.
  3. +1 here too Very annoying. I haven't figured out how to turn her off either.
  4. ya slow for me too. many times with the download speed being slower than upload. mine finishes in an hour at this rate, and i will keep seeding afterwards to boost the speeds a bit.
  5. Refer to my previous comment. Also, it does a sound a bit small for a file size considering it is supposed to ship with the N5. What's going on here, the old disks are much much bigger in file size, 7GB each for East and West, whereas these new ones are only 2-3GB? Where's the rest of the map info. Did Pioneer decide to leave only highways on the map this time. That way people have to update to get city streets and pay $200 for said "update."
  6. a torrent sounds good. let's just hope we see it. i'm not complaining though, it's not like he is obligated to give us a disk image. but he said he would, so here i wait.
  7. Torrent upload... now Coming in September!
  8. Anyone have any luck in locating the N5 discs?

  10. Ok, seems not to be much interest in the Mountaineers (Explorers) so I will forego uploading the pics and wasting bandwidth...unless someone specifically requests them. PM me if you need help installing in a Mountaineer or Explorer as I have successfully done it now, including the dreaded power antenna everyone seems to be having so much trouble with around the net (from what I've read). Cheers
  11. I've been busy so I haven't had a chance yet to try out some new dimensions. I'll try out what you suggested soon. Hope your background works out for you. I'll post back as soon as I figure something out. Cheers
  12. Ya it is definitely more noticeable when there is a circle in the image. I'll be trying some different dimensions today and I'll report back what I find. I'm sure you can find some Mercedes logos, it's a far more popular car than Mercury, haha. Try here: http://brandsoftheworld.com/search/?act ... t=mercedes And these as well: These are only some of the nice ones I found. I used Google Image search. Plenty more out there. Hope it works out for you. Once I find the correct image size I'll post back.

  14. Agreed. Just do a direct copy of the Nav DVD to a dual layer DVD. I used a Verbatim DVD+R DL disc and it works perfectly. If you have OSX I recommend Toast, and if you have Windows I recommend Nero. Good luck.
  15. I guess it wouldn't let me attach more so here goes another post.
