  1. And a wireless network somewhere within range, of course. Probably not going to pick one up driving down the highway... If you have a Windows Mobile phone with WiFi you can have a WiFi access point anywhere! http://www.wmwifirouter.com It works great for my laptop through my Treo 800w. Exactly. My Treo750 doesn't have wifi we got ripped on that, but that MiniSD Wifi Adapter works with my Treo, then put anothe one on the headunit and you have internet access.
  2. Yeah it didn't happen today, I bet it doesn't happen this week even.
  3. All you should need is an SD WiFi adapter and it has drivers for Windows Mobile.
  4. I highly doubt that update will happen as planned, call me negative...
  5. I called Pioneer tech support today if nothing else then just to bitch them out for releasing a poor product unprepared for public use and the rep who was on the phone was a total idiot. He suggested I exhange my unit and I said look man, don't try to tell me it's my unit, go online where there's 1000 problems with this this thing. I did get him to confirm they are working on a firmware update but that's all he would say.
  6. What exactly is the phonebook? When I transfer the phonebook from my Treo750 it just has the 2 names that I have on the quickdial as my contacts on the F90. Is it supposed to transfer your whole contacts list to the headunit?
  7. Mine just has the parking brake mod software bypass. On my actual unit I have the blue/green box trick done as well. That was a stupid bug from Pioneer.
  8. Internet Explorer. I'm not concerned about browsing the internet, I'm thinking more about transferring files back and forth to the unit using wifi.
  9. Yeah I think I'm actually using WinRar now that you mention it. Sorry about that.
  10. Can someone explain exactly what you do with these? I put them in I think...but when I go MANAGE POIS there are a group of POIS there with icons next to them...like RESTAURANTS, etc...I have no idea what to do next.
  11. The operating system supports network, because if you go into the windows explorer you can see network.
  12. Thanks for the fix, I haven't used the Nav much yet, but I noticed right away how stupid those boxes were.
  13. It worked on my phone with windows mobile 5, not sure if CE supports it.
  14. I changed mine to about 75 percent and saw no increase in speed.
  15. I had this SD WiFi adapter for my Palm but unfortunately I left it at my old job and I don't think I'll ever see it again. I am probably going to order a new one and see if I can get WIFI on the head unit in test mode. http://cgi.ebay.com/wireless-LAN-WiFi-S ... 286.c0.m14
  16. I can't believe how buggy this thing actually is. I got the F90 installed yesterday and boy does it have issues. It doesn't recognize my IPOD sometimes at all when it boots up, locks up the IPOD at times, is slow as hell, etc etc etc Anyone else having this ipod issue?

    Bypass Failed

You cannot extract the INI then re-compress it. You have to use WINZIP to modify the INI file while it is still inside DATA.ZIP. (At least this is what I have come to understand.) Those who have tried to unzip it, modify, and re-zip have had problems if I remember correctly.
  18. I use shuffle all the time, but that's what happens when you have 35,000 songs!
  19. I'm not going to update the firmware, just copy the data.zip file over like you did.
  20. I haven't actually installed my unit yet, that happens tomorrow, but I noticed that a couple of the units (mine being the F90BT) can play back DVD Dual Layer discs burned with MP3's. This being the case, you should be able to add another 9gb of MP3's or videos (in raw file form) from the DVD drive. Can anyone with at least the F90BT confirm it will playback DVD Dual Layers with MP3's burned in data mode?
  21. Can someone write a batch file to rename the stock data.zip and copy this one off of the SD card automatically to the headunit? I don't have mine yet but I'll work on it when I do.
  22. I modded the DATA.ZIP file from Pioneer's update without unpacking it using winzip, and here it is available for download. This just modded to bypass the lockout so you don't have to do the mute wire ground trick. You still should have to ground the parking brake wire. It should be injected back into the file system here: \LPUE080\APL2\iGo For those of you who don't understand how to modify this, you can just copy my version over to the head unit (after you rename the original one to data.bak.) http://files.filefront.com/datazip/;120 ... einfo.html Please keep in mind th
  23. I'll upload the data.zip file somwwhere for you man. Here you go brother. http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=124701#124701
  24. Thanks man...sorry for not catching that before.
