  1. This is untrue. When I bought the Avic-N3 and when I read through some of the included documentation. It states that if you register it after purchase you will recive the next update disk. The rest you will have to pay for. Never the less, even if they do give you trouble, call and complain, they will cave. Tomorrow I will be calling and doing the same. Come to think of it, I never recived my rebate...

Don't pay anyone money. If you chose to do it legally you can buy it from pioneer. If you don't care you can find a torrent and download it yourself http://www.btmon.com/Applications/Unsor ... rrent.html
  3. I searched for this problem and didn't see it, maybe I just suck at searching, anyway, sorry if this has been covered before. Here is the problem, I turned off my car today and the screen started to retract as it always does but it didnt slide in at all, it just goes down flat and stops. What should I do? I cant send it back to Pioneer because I did the bypass. Any ideas of what to do? Maybe its a setting or something I hit by accident (I hope) Edit: Oh yeah, its an N3.
  4. I agree with you completly, I left this on their site... I have an Avic-N3 with the latest disk. It is usually correct but it often has many glitchs. My car appears off road often, even on major highways, It takes me in non-needed u-turns and tells me to turn onto roads that don't exist. The other day I was driving to get on the highway, thankfully I knew where I was going, because it kept telling me to take rights that didnt exist, than, finnaly it told me to take the correct left. I think that could be very dangerous if I was in a city that I didn't know. Also, at times, I will be on th
  5. you have to take the braket off, on the face of the unit you will see four screws, un screw them, remove the bracket and under that u will find the sticker
  6. Possibly, it is behind the ac vents. Am I going to have to return it and pay for uninstallation and installation again, also I go the byspass done. Am I screwed? Everything else seems to work completly fine though, this is the only problem I have come across and it only happens when the unit is first tunred on.
  7. It only does this when i first turn it on, it starts on the last source I had on, then changes to, av, xm, and radio. Is this a setting or something I can turn off. I know its not a sticky remote or player button cuz it only happens when I first turn it on and not when changing sources when its already on. Any other thoughts?
  8. anybody have any ideas? If so, please post them, this is really anoying
  9. When I turn on my N3 it goes to the last source I was on then goes through each of my sources i.e. if I turned my car off and the last thing I was doing was listening to my iPod, when I turn my car on it will start playing where the Ipod left off then when the screen pops up it switches to radio, then AV, them XM and stays there, is there a way to change that? Is this normal or is my unit messed up?
  10. Hey, I just bought my N3, I love it, I got the XM tuner and the Ipod thing. My question is regarding the ipod interface, I have a few questions about that. 1. Is there a way to skip more quicly to different letters when searching by song or name because it takes like a second to load the tracks each time i press the down button? 2. When you are browsing, and the Navi screen comes up, when you go back to the ipod screen, you completly lost your place and if your like 20 or so into the menue, it takes forever to get back there. Is there a way to make it so that it goes back to where u left off o
