  1. you could try with an SDcard again? Your unit is in "off-mode" when trying to flash? i myself have used sandisk and they worked great. they come with some software sometimes but after a format thats usually solved. the cruizer ones comes with this, so if you have them, try some without the softwarebundle.

bet you've tried and know this already but :)

  2. seems correct what you are doing. Folders (AVIC5000NEX) and all, and USB1.

tried formatting the usbsticks in another computer or OS (fat32)? or use a third party format program? Some Mac and windows users have problems after format with new files and such been added. The Unit is also kinda picky when it comes to USBsticks, but you have tried alot it seems....

other tip: windows built in zip extraction may brake the folderstructure. it does not preserve file paths by default.  Make sure the "Use folder names" checkbox is checked when extracting the files from the update zip file. or use one like WinRar etc.

Try upgrading to an lower firmware.

Here is asd255 megashare folder with them:
    https://mega.nz/#F!nE4jFBrJ!q51j1RVr7g5QfFU5IDzFOA

look in the x000 folder and choose the one you want and  works with your unit

but i think your problem is the way the usbstick/SDcard is formatted or the unzip program/way that you are using.

try to format with this one:
    https://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html

->Root of usb -> AVIC5000NEX folder -> file               (do not rename anything, may brake structure)

Also WHEN you manage to upgrade, you also have to upgrade the Bluetooth firmware afterwards. (use the same stick and content)

  3. Since new frimware 1.14 has been released for Avic-F960BT ( 5000 NEX ) - Is it necessary to crack unit again after firmware update?

Or Igo crack and nav nag screen removal script will still be installed?

    Thanks

needs to be cracked again with the package that is available

  4. You mean with the same update file that I have copied on the SD card? I have seen on their site now, that they have released a newer version 1.1.4, so if I download it and copy it on a SD card, first I should update from the main menu and then on the bluetooth menu, always with the same update file?

Thank you for giving me this information that I could not get anywhere else!

    yes

  5. After updating to the latest version, I faced a new problem! Everytime I press the "map" button in order to activate the navigation functions, a message shows on screen "please make sure you have the latest version of bluetooth firmware of the unit". I mean, what is this, I have the latest update on AVIC-F60DAB and also the latest firmware on iPhone 6S and of course no jailbreaks etc at all! Could anyone please understand what is going on and maybe help me understand too? I have contacted via email with local representative of Pioneer but as always they seem to be out of understanding...!

After you flash the latest update you have to update the bluetooth firmware also. Go to the bluetooth section in settings to do that. will take a couple of mins

It will look for the files from the same folder you flashed the head unit firmware from (use the same files/sdcard/usb)

  6. really? hmm interresting. a little more complex than lurking in the test mode and installing maps i bet. or is it? Dunno if Pioneer will release more firmware updates for the F60DAB unit . So upgrading the maps is super, but an software update doesnt hurt either from time from time. if you have more info you could always give me å pm. no need to get this thread bigger with our chit-chat :)

  7. Yesterday I was able to run through process of initializing a USB drive on my new 5100NEX, using it in Naviextras Toolbox to download map updates, etc. and then update the 5100NEX. Today I plugged same USB drive into PC and NaviExtras does not see it as a device at all. Do I have to reinitialize it again with the 5100NEX?

  8. the reply i got from Pioneer Norway is that they dont know when a release is due. This because AvicSync is developed by an 3rd-part developer and not Pioneer themself. Great..............    :/

  9. SpecTrax, can you share the specific steps you took?  I have done the following:

    1. Format USB drive for FAT32.

    2. Insert USB drive into USB cable from 8100 and run SyncTool.

    3. Insert USB drive (now formatted and with SyncTool completed) into computer which is not recognized by NaviExtras.

Can you share how the above would be modified or augmented to complete the process that worked for you?  Thanks very much in advance.

    1. Format USB drive for FAT32.

    2. Insert USB drive into USB cable from 8100/8000 and run SyncTool.

    3. Copy the complete content of the USB drive to an FAT32 formated SDcard (including folders, also give the sdcard the same name as the usb drive) with your computer. (do not use a microsd, use an SDHCcard).

    4. Insert the SDcard to your memorycard-reader and run NaviExtras Toolbox. Card and content should now be detected. If not, try to reconnect sdcard.

    5. Follow onscreen instructions and make your modifications/upgrades.

    6. DELETE/format the USB drive again.

    7. Copy updated sdcard (all files and folders) back to the USB drive

    8. Connect usb drive to your unit and do the upgrade as manual states.

worked with my 8000 unit and map update

  10. had such a problem when i updated my maps also. I think the problem is the navixtras app itself, and they should upgrade it to support USB drives better. My "solution" was to transfer the data from the usb drive to a sdcard. connect the sdcard to my computer, do the update. then transfer the data from the sdcard back to the usb drive/stick. then upgrade the unit with it.

  11. from pioneer;

"We have opened an internal trouble ticket and our developers are working on the case.
We already know about this issue because we have received a plenty of customer complaint about this issue, so we handle this case with high priority.
As we plan, the customers will get the missing language and voice files through Naviextras Toolbox, offered as an usual update.

We are going to inform you as soon as we receive any news. Until then we would like to ask for your kind patience and understanding."
