a new firmware update is now available. Maybe this can solve some of the problems with the maps. Alternativ Russian firmware update is also available.

okay. Those were all the English and Russian files in those folders. Is the Unit ID-spesific when it comes to the upgrade ?? Softwarefiles locked to unit ?

i might help you out with this one (English and Russian files as requested) these are the files from my usb after the update of my maps with navixtras ( Unit firmware Ver 1.040200 )

i have the Sony Xperia Z1C and used my standard usb-phone cable to hook it up with one of the two usb connections on the unit (think i used usb1. they say usb1 is for iphone and usb2 is for android/media storage dunno if this it the case). Some pops'n clicks on the phone and unitscreen and mirrorlink worked. kinda sluggish thou'. Don't know if it was working as it should, didn't test it that much. But it mirrored my phonescreen and touch and starting apps worked.

if you want lossless audio then flac lv5 is the default option (no compression and song size is everything from 30-50mb+) no need for other. i myself only have a 32GB sdcard so i preffer mp3 lame with an VBR of "extreme/V0/320kbit

Use a fat32 sdcard. worked for me. USB stick didn't, samme issue as you..

dbpoweramp is the one im using too. great piece of software. As others said: embedd the image/covers in the metadata when ripping (with dbpoweramp). Just remember to keep the resolution and filesize to a minimum. i have found out that res 300x300 and a filesize below 200KB is working 100%. I have had to re-arange my files on my sdcard due to different size limitation of the avic. using imgbatch for resizing and mp3tag for embedding and renaming. mp3tag is also a great app to customize your collection.
