replacing an N2 with an N3... I can wrap my hand around the back of the bottom of the dash and feel the unit velcrowed to the floor, just no clue how to get to it... any articles on how to remove the facia?

I have a 2000 grand prix, and the company that installed my AVIC-N2 but the brain on a "shelf" behind the console (dash board) guess they mean on the floor? anyways... anyone know how to get back there?

Should you reset all the learned information in the system such as speed pulse and 3D learning mode and all that stuff under the hardware settings after you do a N2 to N3 software upgrade? I know its good to do it if you change your tires from like summer to winter ones since it will not be calibrated correctly (or so the manual said i thought) but what about software upgrades?

Ok I am having problems with this.. I made an ISO of my east disc (the one I use the most, original disc that came with the system) using Nero so its an nrg file... I then burnt that image using nero to a Dual layer Memorex 2.4x DVD+R DL disc... Twice now they seemed to work on the computer, but when I put them into my nav system it says on screen "reading format" then depending on the disc "invalid format" or "invalid disc"... can the N2 read +R's? should I burn it at a slower speed? What am I doing wrong here... any help would be great I really like to have backup discs just incase....

For some reason, on the "source" displays when you are looking at a CD track list or something it shows the current time in 24hour format... but on the nav screen its in 12 hour am/pm format... how (if its possible) can you get all the screens to be in 12 hour format?

anyone have the CNDV-60M USA East disc image? It's taking forever to get it... right now stoped at 38% and doing nothing......

I have Dual layer DVD's, I want to change the boot image, I already have the image, and made an ISO of the original CNDV-50MT DVD that came with my system. How do I go about editing the ISO so the new image is on them and have it sucessfully burn a new DVD? I tried just copying the files into a folder, changing the image and reburning the files on a new disc, but that says "invalid disc" when it goes in... how do you guys do it? thanks!

what are the differences in model numbers of the discs? I have seen CNDV-60M, 60MT, 60MP
