I was looking for the exact same thing in my 5000NEX. Same exact reason..... Sometimes I need silence immediately, and there's no easy way to do it here. Its even a PITA to Mute the thing, you have to touch a volume button just to get the mute to come up on the touchscreen

Just learned something interesting on the NEX5000. If I switch to File View on a USB/SD, then its in correct numerical order (my format has the number first on the file name), and it actually plays in order. On the Album view, it is alphabetical no matter what I do.

I'm on a NEX5000 and I can only sort on alpha in album view. I've tried formatting the MP3 tags in a variety of ways, and its always the same result. Is there a specific way to either name the file, or format the MP3 tag that allows for track number sorting in album view?

I've been battling this for a while. There is an optimal MP3 tagging format to use that works. This has been a problem on all decks I've owned except JVC. Not sure why Pioneer still has this problem, but other manufacturers do as well
