  1. Thanks, yeah it was pretty obvious once I proceeded with the install. I was unaware that we had 2 amps, thought we only had one for the sub....
  2. I got mine from cardomain.com while they were having their inventory clearance event (about a week or two ago). They had almost everything they had in stock at great prices. I was lucky enough to find an Avic Z2 for $900 Shipped!! Took a some time to get here but I'm assuming it was due to the wildfires here in Cali...
  3. is there any other way to load backgrounds and songs to the HDD besides using a CD? I just think that this unit should have come with a USB port..
  4. Has anybody installed a Z2 on a RSX w/bose amp/sub using the Metra 70-1725 wiring harness? Where do the 4 RCA's on the harness connect to?? Thanks!!
  5. Did you use the Metra 70-1725 or how did you connect the amp and sub to the HU? if you did, where did you connect the Metra's RCA's? thanks
  6. Very nice install both himsweet66six and NoId!! I also have an 06 Type-S and just got my Z2 in today. I plan on keeping the Bose Amp and Sub using the Metra 70-1725 wiring Harness. I was thinking on installing the mic where NoId installed it, but im concerned that it might not work well on that location since I have an Injen intake which is pretty loud. Thanks
  7. thanks,, how about if I use the firmware update released by Pioneer? do I still the 30mb file? will it work with the new firmware or better off by not installing it? Thanks again...
  8. Will the pioneer Gracenote update make the pre 06/2007 Avic Z2 Units bypassable? http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... 79,00.html Or do I still need to use the 30mb file specified at the beginning of this thread? Also, has anybody here installed this unit on RSX Type-S? Thanks!!
