does anybody have a clue?

I have been installing car stereos for a long time but never really have gotten into the tecnical EQ phase of the trade. I want to set my EQ in my truck to sound perfect but cant seem to get the best sound I want. here is what i have in my truck. (2003 Cadillac Escalade) Pioneer Z1 and D3---Z1 is master unit Pioneer TS-D1720C Componants w/ 2 external crossovers- Front Kicker- KS5250 -Rear Doors Amps Pioneer GM-6300F 600W X 4 Pioneer GM-7400 800W X 2 Kicker 10" L7 I am adding 2 more L7 12"s What I really want to understand is the EQ itself and what every frequency

All these gadgets have turned my truck into antenna land heres the list: 1. Factory XM on roof of Escalade 2. Pioneer GPS 3. Pioneer XM 4. Pioneer Sirius 5. Sirius Backseat TV has 2 antennas 6. THE PICS ABOVE ARE RAN THROUGH MY FRONT MONITORS. I have a Z1 and D3 up front. The picture quality is crystal clear. There are currently 3 channels. There is Nickelodian, Cartoon Network, and the Disney Channel. Its only 6.99 a month added on to my Sirius I already have through my pioneer SIR-PNR2. The Backseat TV has its own remote with infared eye to change channels. There are buttons on the remote that do not have a function at the moment, so I AM anticipating there will be more channels added in the future. I cant wait until that happens. I finally installed my Sirius Satelitte backseat Tv in today in my Cadillac Escalade. Here are some pics. I like it alot, too bad not more channels. Anybody know if they plan on adding more, maybe a news, or sports network would be good. I have it hooked up to my Z and D3. I have both D3 and Z in my front console. I have had no signal problems either. If anybody needs a Sirius Backseat T.V unit let me know I can get them pretty cheap. I have the wood part cut out, but havent had time to fiberglass and paint it yet. I definitly am not feeling like it with this little heat wave in Maryland, but I guess it dont matter, it will be a looong summer coming soon.

I put the pioneer amp and componant speakers in the doors and the tweets that come with them fit perfectly on the trim where the fact. tweets are on the trim by the windshield. My truck is LOOOUUUDDD and very clear. Pioneer TS-D1720C are the model number for the Pioneer componant speakers 6-3/4. They come with crossovers also. They are the truth. I had the same problem in my Escalade.....bottom line is GMOS-04 Suxxxxx. I rewired my trcuk and every truck that is a GM with Bose i do also. I have done a bunch of denali's..... I dont use onstar so i dont care.

Or you can buy a new trim bezel its the big bezel that goes around the speedomeyer and radio for the 2003. Very cheap.

The 02-06 escalade DOES have a double din kit. I have it the metra part number is 99-2003 There are several pieces in the package. One is for a single din application and then there is a double din part. I can take pics. Dern does not know what he is talking about.

My truck is secured in my garage. For your escalade just cut out the plastic behind the factory radio and get the double din kit. 99-2003. I personally dont like the bose. I rewired my whole system and put componant speakers. Its wayyyyyy louder and clearer. Any thing else let me know.

Im only doing 7 dvd players. I said if i was insane I COULD hook up a total of 15 dvd players. I just want to do something different. I see the same old sh*t everyday. I love being able to have a movie up and a nav screen at the same time. Or I can have a movie with camera on, or nav with camera. Escalade install just remove black plastic behing head unit, and the F should slide in perfect with the double din kit 99-2003 metra. I have pics of my escalade up in another thread. Just type escalade in the search bar

I think I am going to customize my passenger side airbag. I will remove it and make a bezel to mount my Z into it. I am going to buy the top of the line F seies unit and place in my dash where the Z is now and have 3 Pioneer navigation units in the front of my truck. I will use the F as my main/master radio and have my Z and D3 used as inputs/AV1/AV2. I also have a digital video switcher unit that has cool controls that get built into whatever you want made by Accellevision. It has 4 inputs and 2 outputs. mine looks fine i have a newer laptop. I used gold palted cables i dunno if that helped or not. they were $100 at my local electronics store

If you have the cam hooked to the reverse light, and a costant power wire wouldnt it keep your reverse light lit up being it has constant power now?

Ive had mine hooked up like that for like 10 months.i used S-Video out of laptop into RCA's. I used a broadband card to have internet on my Z1. I have a wireless keyboard with built in mouse. I took a USB extension and ran it up thru my vent and plugged in the eye for the keyboard to respond well, since I had my laptop tucked away and was not seen. i bought the laptop for my car for this reason. Its powered by an Inverter. I have the laptop on power saver, so I never have to pull the laptop out to turn off and on. we need a drawing of a diagram on how to run the back up cam to reverse wire and have the option to use the camera button on the nav screen. Thanks. If any one could scketch a drawing scan and upload it would be appreciated. I dont want to have to buy two cameras to hook up one as back up to my Z1 and another camera running full time to my D3.

I think I figures out my problem. I took out the GMOS-04 and rewired the bose to bypass the amp. therefore i think my steering wheel buttons are now useless. I think I have a volt meter. What mode wo I set it to, and what should be tested. What readings should I expect. Well if my buttons are useless. I will have a pac swi-ps for sale. I paid 49 dollars 4 it. Ok I got the correct light green wire. You have to remove the metal shied under the steering wheel. There are four 10mm. nuts holding it on. So here is the next problem I am having. I get the swi-ps unit to set in mode 1 as directed, but when i press the program button it lights up then I push vol + button after that it does not light up to begin the next button to be programmed. Anybody had the same problem...Any solutions??? The vehicle is a 2003 Cadillac Escalade EXT
