Items i have: iPod classic 160GB Avic-D3 CD-V150M Ok this is pretty rediculous. I hope i am doing something wrong. I just waited 3 weeks for this cable (ups lost the first one and the guy had to resend it..) and when i hook it up, video doesnt work! The cable is the CD-V150M it the single auxilary a/v cable meant to be used in the headphone jack of an ipod and plugged into the front aux of the pioneer radio. I set Aux1 to both Video and EXT, nothing. I set Aux2 to Video, and I only get audio and a blank black screen. Is there somthing i need to change on either my ipod

Thanks 1 more question, I know you can speak commands and artists/playlists to the avic-f series, but can you speak an address with street name or city to the navigation? also, has anyone tried an iphone with the ipod-ready cable? will it work for audio (i know video probably wont work)? Im planning on getting the new 3G iphone, i know noone tested that yet, but its probably the same as a normal iphone thanks for the help again

I have a d3 right now, and I pretty much am 100% getting rid of it. When using a d3, you can search for point of interest, but you have to search within a 4 state perimiter and you cant search by nearest one, only my alfabetical letter. This is the worst thing a gps can possibly do For those with 700s/900s already, can you search by distance? do you have regions still that are 3-4 states big? also do you know if the maps are the same as the old d3 maps? or are they updated? do you know the year? If there were to be firmware updates, how would you update it? Thanks

Im just wondering if anyone know how to do this: My friend just bought a used camaro that came with a panasonic in dash dvd player. Its pretty standard stuff, until i went to video1, and i saw a live tv station. I was like, cool its got a tv tuner. But then i was changing the station and it was getting espn, tbs, and pretty much a bunch of other basic cable channels... I figured it might be sirius's new backseat tv thing, its not cause he doesnt have sirius. garmin charges 80$ a year tomtom updates are free, but tomtom updates are crap as well as their units pretty much all carriers charge for updates, it just so happens if you get a gps that uses discs, its a little more expensive

i know the z2 has a tab sort by distance, i havent found it on the d3 also i live around the suburbs of chicago, so its hard to narrow it down to one city

you can do vacinity search for a certain store by typing it in? hmm i think i tried that really quick and i couldnt find where to type it \ ill try it again tommorow thanks

when i search for a point of interest on my d3, for example, best buy, i get a long list of best buys in the 4 states around me...in alphabetical order... is there and way of listing these best buys buy how far they are? or at least limiting the search within a certain amount of miles (like 15) i know i can jsut hit the map icon next to the best buy and it tells me how far to destination, but how do i sort it on the search screen thiss is probably one of the most important feature in a gps... please tell me theres a way to fix this thanks greg

nope, 1.1.2 doesnt work i bought my ipod classic (6th Gen) 160gb a week ago it came with 1.1.1 tried it, doesnt work updated to 1.1.2 tried it, still doesnt work downgraded to 1.0.2 tried it, works! so for right now im sticking with 1.0.2 until a new update comes out. then ill try it, and if it doesnt work ill just switch back to 1.0.2 since i have all the files for 1.0.2 saved on my computer
