  1. I've used 2GB through 16GB formatted FAT32 (on my Mac). Works fine on my 5000.
  2. Oy sorry to hear about the update problem. Here is what my 5000 shows after both updates applied.
  3. Awesome, had no idea! That took care of th BT update prompts I got every time I started the car. I'm up to date. Thank you!
  4. I lost all my locations and settings to. Wow how incredible. Hoping the iOS Contacts feature gets fixed so we don't have to keep redoing. Where do I find the Bluetooth update?
  5. Doesn't seem to work. I have 300+ contacts and AVICSYNC giving "No usable address found" errors. I tried creating a fresh contact but no dice. iPhone 6 iOS 9.2 Bummed, Don
  6. Just went for a drive and I can't believe how responsive the screen is. I used to have to press letters/numbers a bunch of times before it took. I thought it was a hardware issue but apparently it was a firmware issue all this time.
  7. There seems to be an option/feature to tap into your iOS contact addresses. Touch screen is INCREDIBLY awesome now.
  8. I noticed on albums with dark(ish) covers, when I toggle between CarPlay Music and AVIC-5000NEX music, I see the black cover momentarily get a bit brighter - just about perfect brightness - before toggling over. This is repeatable.
  9. +1 on updating to iOS 9.0...it is MUCH better than iOS 8.x. CarPlay will thank you.
  10. Agreed sounded like you were going with an actual beta version.
  11. Nope, no reason to. The PAC has been working flawlessly. The RR is for sale along with the two hardware updates.
  12. Here is what I see in iOS 9 (14a4325c), pretty accurate compared to AVIC 5000 screen.
  13. A little birdie tells me the Map horizon issue is resolved. No chance of getting 2D North-up in iOS 9.
  14. I doubt we'll get stranded without updates. On the contrary, I hope we get cheaper and more updated updates. Don
  15. Audi, BMW, and Mercedes bought HERE maps. That's what NEX uses. http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/audi-bmw-and-daimler-officially-bought-nokia-s-here-mapping-business-ar170689.html
  16. I've been on iOS 9 Beta since the beginning, can't share details since it is through developer.apple.com (not the Public Beta), however all the builds are the same. Trust me, if you're on iOS 9 Beta, you would benefit from updating when the new seeds are released.
  17. If you're "stuck" at iOS 9 Beta 2, its actually a known issue. The MDM profile you installed to get the Beta is in the way. Delete that profile, reboot the iPhone, then check for updates again. The profile was only necessary to get iOS 9 Beta installed. Unfortunately it's in the way of you getting new(er) iOS 9 Beta updates. Lots of info on it on developer.apple.com forums, but here's a public facing article: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/07/22/update-ios-9-public-beta-ios-9-beta-4/ Don
  18. To be clear I meant iOS 9 Beta 4. It's been out a while.
  19. Is there an overview of S.rtrv somewhere? I just stumbled upon this setting on my USB2 port and yea it does sound better with two of the bars on.
  20. http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/20-mobile-electronics/60153-idatalink-maestro-rr.html#/forumsite/20559/topics/60153
  21. I swapped out my iDatalink Maestro RR for the PAC unit because of the i-MId issue. I'm going to guess this update doesn't fix the i-Mid (but I'll have my fingers crossed that it does). I still have the RR.
