  1. Not sure if i got the update first because i'm in Australia, but here's the link: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/appradio/id434811742?mt=8
  2. Same. I'm assuming we need a firmware update. Which doesn't seem to be released yet.
  3. It seems there was an update to the Appradio app today... Anyone know how it works? Seems like you can use Appradio mode with just 1 x lightning cable now, no HDMI needed. It does say to update to the latest firmware but i cant seem to find any new firmware updates.

  5. I have the Appradio 4. Great unit. My only problem is that ive owned iphones all my life. I hate Apple, really hate Apple. Only stuck with iphones because i didnt like how most Android phones were so big. Anyway, currently own the iphone 5. CarPlay works great with the AR4. My problem is that i feel like now im stuck with an iphone because the AR4 is more suitable for IOS devices than Android because of the CarPlay. This is the only thing stopping me from buying a new Android phone now. And with Android Auto being released in the not so far future... i kind of regret my purchase
  6. From what i can see, you cant. You can only increase or decrease the time zone. Unfortunately for me, im in Australia so the time zones do not increase enough for me to have the correct time and date. So I just turn the clock function off.
  7. Which plug did you connect your camera video output to? The brown coloured plug under the HDMI port?
  8. Hey Mate, Yes, the unit will automatically play bluetooth audio at the last song position before you turned the car off. No need to press anything, it will connect and auto-play. Regarding steering wheel controls, i am using Axxess ASWC-1. Im pretty sure you can use any but i read that Axxess was one of the easiest to install/program so thats why im using it.
  9. Im not sure how accurate this is but Appradioworld says the Alpine doesnt support bluetooth connectivity?? http://www.appradioworld.com/2014/11/apple-carplay-battle-alpine-ilx-007-vs.html That sounds quite odd seeing that i was under the impression that bluetooth was used for the Appradio to send commands to your phone, to switch songs etc. Anyway, apparently Appradio can be bouight for 500USD now... makes me want to cry cos i got mine at full price 600USD
  10. Hey Mate, This is my first headunit, so the first time ive ever installed/used a bypass. So i cant comment if the old relay method works. I do know that the manual method of bypassing is to ground the parking wire, unground it, and then constantly ground it again to perform the bypass. If your relay does this, then it should work on the Appradio 4. Regarding not having a bypass and playing to an external device, sorry im not sure about this. I'll see if i can test this, but at the moment ive completed my install so cant be arsed opening up everything again.
  11. I just tried out Appradio mode on my Appradio 4... Its pretty shit to be honest. Its laggy, slow, apps take forever to launch and the display seems to be very low quality? Worst thing is you have to use a big ass lightning to HDMI cable. I'll stick with CarPlay.
  12. Not sure if this helps but in order to use Appradio, dont you also need to install the Appradio app on your phone aswell?
  13. Can confirm that the microbypass for the US Appradio 4 works. Also works with CarPlay where there's a keyboard option that gets enabled when searching for a destination in Apple maps.
  14. Yeah, I've tested this while driving. The keyboard icon is enabled if the parking wire is grounded.
