  1. PROBLEM SOLVED..........after a cop pulls me over on the interstate to tell me my rear running lights are not on. he let me off, just had to ride all the way back home with my hazards on. The fuse in the engine bay labeled tail lights was blown, I took it out then disconnected the battery and took my radio out and pulled the d3 illumination wire off the car's and taped both ends up, put in a new fuse and reconnected the battery and turned it on and BAM it works! I can see all my illum. lights again, thank god for fuses, it could have been a lot worse.
  2. ok after doing a little reading in the service manual it appears that the illum. wire has a positive and a negative in the radio harness, the #9 pin the red and blue wire goes by TAIL/ILL RLY and the #8 pin the red and yellow wire goes by ILL CONT OUT. I connected the red and blue wire to the illum wire on the d3. now when i look at the diagram right above for the air control it has the red and blue wire labeled as ILL +; the red and yellow wire as ILL -. SO is that my problem does #8 pin need to be grounded, or if i go out and do this will i lose all my electrical equipment. but with
  3. i looked at the manual it just showed the two types of fuses, i just got done checking the two fuse boxes and it didnt show anything that could have been it, i pulled a few to see and they were all good, what might they be under?
  4. very good point, i haven't checked that, any idea what fuse and where it could be?
  5. Well there is a small problem now, the background lights for my climate control and steering wheel controls will not come on, I thought it was because I hooked up the illum. wire wrong, but they will not come on with or without it connected, so now I'm thinking it is the pac-swi that is doing it. If so then I'll sacrifice I like my steering wheel controls.
  6. ok i have an 08 altima coupe, and i read somewhere on the forum that the illumination wire was the blue and red wire on the radio harness, well i connected it to the illum. wire on the d3 and put everything back in place, it wasn't until i am driving to work that the lights that power the a/c controls and the steering wheel controls are not working, the small little lights on the a/c that show you where air is coming from work, just the lights behind the temp and such are out. im thinking maybe when i put the radio back in place i lost my connection and grounded out the illumination wire, i ho
