what color is the dimmer wire on the back of a Z2. i have lost the owners manual. thanks to all.

well i just did the 2-wire bypass and loaded in the update. first it said unreadable cd, then it said update already done. so i put in a movie and went for a drive and everything worked. i did not have to load the update or hit the reset button, just the 2-wire bypass. i am guessing because my unit is new and Pioneer already did the update. thanks to all..

thank u, i just read on how to use the wires. i am going down to try the bypass. i will let u know how it works. i have the burned cd to load.

Hello to all, I just had my z2 installed in my Charger SRT8. the shop that did it, did a great job but did not want to do the whole bypass for me. no biggie, still happy with the work. they did hook up the brake wire to a ground but that was the only wire. now my question is, i know if you are not using the mute wire, to move it and use that as a ground. what if you are using that wire because of the blue tooth. what other wire or how should i ground out the second wire location. thank you.

thanks for all your help. i am going to buy an Ipod and the Ipod adaptor and load all the music on an Ipod. that will be the easiest way.

the reason why i asked is, i do not own a cd. everything is on my laptop. i was hoping i could just transfer my music without burning cds

Ok.... i have a 07 charger. i have the AVIC-Z2 and i have steering wheel controls. I know i need the PAC SWI-PS. Does anyone know if i need the SWI-CAN and C2R-CHY. I have have been talking to a guy who has the Z1 and installed all 3 units. I talked to someone else and they said all I need is the SWI-PS. any help please.....

as i said in another post i will be getting a AVIC-z2 on friday. i am thinking about installing it myself. i am handy. is there any wires i would need to track down. i read somewhere about a spped wire or is it match the wires and go. any help would be great. the unit will be installed in a charger srt8
