I just did the z1-z2 hdd update... 2 wire trick works on z2.

Can't say for sure but could be that you are running USB. Try buying the adapter and using IDE cable. Adapter is cheap.

use MHDD to check. Look in the hacks forum to see how. You will need to buy an adapter to connect the HDD to your PC. Either way I doubt its unlocked.

I have an Avic Z1, and I want to do the Avic Z2 update. Newegg no longer carries the MK6034GAX so I'm wondering what would be the best drive to buy. Any ideas?
