  1. your S five will work but you may need to do some things to get it to work. Pioneers basic AppRadio sucks there's only a few apps that work and the selection is quite dismal. Most if not all people are using AppRadio unchained Or AppRadio Liberator. to see if you can even get the basic stuff to work I'm assuming you have an HDMI connection into the back of the head unit as that is required along with the USB connection to the MHL adapter you purchased. Go into your smart phone settings on the head unit and change the device to other and HDMI. Go back and try to click apps not HDMI because HDMI
  2. I have 4000NEX which I bought primarily for appradio mode. The issue I have is that when my phone is connected via mhl/HDMI adapter I lose almost all gps signal and data to interference. my solution to this was to use a tablet instead of my phone for AppRadio I use AR Unchained the bypass pioneers limitations. The issue that I'm having is it would seem this unit only allows one device to be connected via bluetooth at a time. AppRadio needs Bluetooth to be connected at all times. Using the tablet it needs to be connected via bluetooth so now I lose Bluetooth hands free calling with my phone sim
  3. Thanks for the replies. Got the reverse wired up, working well. Just can't believe there's no quick toggle button in the AV menu. I dont have a navi unit so there's no map button. Actually Im not suprised, this is pioneer we're talking about.
  4. Two things. 1- Back up camera. Very confusing read in the manual on the modes. I currently have a camera installed. I have it hard wired to battery power and is triggered on by a relay to my ign wire. I have been doing electrical for years. So basiacally turn the car on, relay trips and the camera has power. I really want to be able to simply toggle the camera on and off. I dont see any option to do it other than in the settings menu. When I do, the camera wants to stay on all the time and I have to hold MODE for 5 seconds to get back. Is there really no AV shortcut or something to toggle
