Whoops! Meant wireless. So no one else can connect wirelessly either huh? Bummed!

Just spent the last 2 hrs driving around running errands. Unlocking automagically was awesome and everything honestly seemed smoother on 8.3. Still hope to see a firmware update and wifi connect on 8.3 to my device.

I have the avh4000nex unit. Downloaded 8.3 to my iphone 6 last night. This morning went out to the garage and tried to get Wireless BT to select for CarPlay - and no dice. I suspect we will need a firmware update at this point. Just an educated guess but if the headunit grays something out then it's likely not an OS issue. Sigh - and I wait for the solution

Wouldn't it be best to connect to hdmi and usb1, then to adapter and have everything enable with one connection?

Looking for a list of confirmed apps that will Mirror your iPhone, when using the HDMI cord. I've read about Netflix and YouTube but it would be helpful to see/understand what other apps will mirror and if they are in Horizontal mode only, etc... I'm considering pulling the headunit in my car and adding the HDMI wire - mostly because of the cool factor and to easily access TWC for live weather radar. If i really watch anything it might be while tailgating at a VT game, or if I'm early to a meeting, etc...but nevertheless - I'd be happy to aggregate a confirmed working list. So - w

Thanks for the help. I never got to see the unit until it was installed but found an image of the back. So - I need to pull it again to put the cords in place - glove box makes sense. Is there anything else necessary other than the HDMI cord and the Lighting/HDMI adapter (which I already have) in order to mirror the iPhone 6? Thanks again! Appreciate the help as a newb to this. I talked to the installer earlier this morning and he was about clueless!!!

I certainly don't need 20 audio apps when i really use Pandora, Spotify, XM and the on board music already loaded on the phone. My Audi A6 has Google (not the car with the nex) and can pull weather live - very useful. I also like the idea of mirroring the phone so now need to pull the unit back o

Hmmm, reading some more on this forum and realizing my installer only gave me a USB cord - not an hdmi cord as well. I'm guessing there is another port being unused on the back of the double din?

Just got my 4000nex installed yesterday. Have been playing quite a bit with all of the features, loaded splash screens, completed the 1.08 update, setup xm, etc... I have all of the apps on my iphone that I THINK are available, but not sure... so.... 1. Is there a place that I can access all of the apps ready for carplay? 2. I'd love to have a weather app that would show a live radar on my screen. Does it exist? If so...what/how, etc... Thanks! Doug
