  1. I say lets get together and donate to Cover_Death to buy the new 4100 and a 4000. Then lets put our thinking caps on and lets get this thing working. Lets do it to show everyone that Pioneer is full of BS (when it comes to Android Auto will not work on the old 4000 units) TheRooster has a valid point in his first statement, thanks for pointing that out. any thoughts?
  2. And what are those requirements? (If you got them) I though it was only the display that was different, no?
  3. Guys, tried preforming the update yesterday on my head unit but didn't take it. I currently run a 1.02 firmware on my 4000 any suggestions? I followed the directions carefully This what I tried so far: 1. multiple download incase the files got corrupted 2. multiple different SD and thumb drives Ideas? Thanks
  4. I was thinking about the same thing as far as a model or serial number goes. Their might be within the programing. As per DP3343, we need someone with programing skills to look through both file and see the difference as far as compatibility
  5. Thanks guys for testing. So from the testing preform by all of you we can safely conclude that the problem is not with the Bluetooth firmware but with something in combination with the audio settings Quick question if I upgrade to the 1.03 that I downloaded from Pioneer's website what do you think will happened to my radio? will be become a brick? I've read somewhere that there are a few extras with the 4100, not only android auto. what if something within those extra is not playing nice with the 4000 hardware? and that can cause the problem.
  6. I would if I could but I cant because I don't have a test unit.
  7. Hey guys, I'm new to this. I just downloaded both the 4000NEX and 4100NEX. What IF we try to do update the Bluetooth only. Meaning copy over the BT folder from the 4100 FW to the 4000 FW and preform an update. Will it work? or the codes would be incompatible? In this way we can see if the new BT firmware will work with the current 4000NEX hardware. Any thoughts?
