I got my install done at Bestbuy and I told the installer which wires I wanted him to ground. I had moved the pin myself prior to the installation, he did the install and the only thing he asked me to do was to sign off on a sheet that said the stereo was wired according to my instructions. This is probably to cover is own ass. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna get the warranty. I've had the warranty before on camera's and printers and I've pretty much had to have the products replaced within 2 or 3 years. Sometimes they don't have that model and they give me the next model up. I've never had a Nav unit before so I'm not sue what could go wrong and how often. But getting the warranty I'll have peace of mind.

Here in Canada they're charging me $99 for installation. The adapters and wire harness are extra so about $160 all in. Hope this helps.

Hi guys, I just bought my D3 from best buy for $899 canadian and they offered me the exteneded warrenty for $130 for 4 years. Just wondering how many people had problems that needed repair or if they think its worth it?
