There is a hard reset button on the bottom right front of the unit, you need a paperclip or something small to put in the hole to activate it. I had the same problem with my upgrade. Pressing the reset button DID NOT fix it. Pioneer tech support told me that I would have to send the unit in for repair. I redownloaded the upgrade and loaded in onto a different thumb drive, that worked, it completed the upgrade without any problems. Good luck!

I have seen posts from people that say they have the antenna mounted on the dash with no reception problems. According to iDatalink support, Pioneer does not support the gauges functions, so you cannot use the RR with the Pioneer NEX units, you need to use the SW. I purchased the SW and it is working great with an 8100NEX in a 2012 Toyota Rav4.

Has anyone been able to get iTunes Tagging to work with an NEX and an iPhone6? I have an 8100NEX, the tagging works over USB1 with my iPod Nano, but does not transfer to my iPhone6.
