  1. well, i bought it from bestbuy, so im pretty sure its an n1, tell you the truth though, ive never actually looked at it or anything to confirm whether or not it is :S and im pretty sure the 40mt discs are good, they are originals with zero scratches. how would i know if it was an n2? any obviuos differences that i could spot right away and know that its not an n1? by the way i appreciate your offer and i will consider it if its necessary
  2. after flashing my n1 to get rid of the n3 software, it refuses to load the n1 discs (40mt). it only loads up the n3 discs again and reinstalls the n3 software. im pretty sure i flashed it right, i followed the intructions from other threads exactly. ideas?
  3. lol if you figure out where to go from here, let me know dude. my cars not insured right now and its jus sittin in my backyard so im not in too much of a rush to get my n1 working, but it would still be nice if someone out there knew what was going on.
  4. thanks for your reply dude. i searched and i found a way to do it. only problem is that it wont read my N1 discs (the originals) it will say "disc is being checked" and then "program update started" and the instantly after that it says "program update failed, restarting" and it loops in this cycle indefinately, constatly restarting and trying to load up :S when i tried loading up my burnt n3 disc, it failed a few times, looped a few times, but eventually worked. so im guessing i didnt flash it right or something?
  5. i dont knwo about the z series, but on my N1, my gps was totally messed up until i found out that my VSS (speed sensor) wire wasnt connected. then it was all good.
  6. hey dude did you figure this out yet? im having the same problem with my n1. i just flashed it a few hours ago to downgrade form n3 to n1 software. and it just goes into that loop where it says tis checking the disc, then it says update failed, and it restarts. let me know how you fixed it :S
  7. these instructions kinda worked... but when it asked me to insert the disc (CDMV 40 version 1.1 or whatever)...it would say... "The disc is being checked" "Program update started" "Program update failed, restarting" and it does this an infinite amount of times, just keeps restarting and trying to boot. when i tried putting in the N3 cd (not sure which version, its a burnt copy) it did the same thing, except it sound start to program, i would see a progress bar, and half way through it would say "Program update failed, restarting" But after a few times the N3 disc eventua
  8. just outta curiousit, when you guys say that you "shipped your unit to pioneer" where did you ship it? where are they located? is it one big pioneer center? are there other certified shops you can take it to?
  9. hey guyz, im new to this forum (ths is my first post..haha) and ive been searching through the posts for hours and have kind of got mixed opinions. i talked to a few people and they said that the only way to downgrade software back to n1 was to send my unit to pioneer. is this true? i have an n1 and without my knowing, the guy that installed my unit loaded up the n3 software. on top of that, the n3 software is a burnt cd, and half the time when i insert the disct it just says "invalid disc" which is why i wanna downgrade to my n1 software (for which i have the discs) im kinda uns
