How are you trying to connect it? I have the Verizon S5 and can only get it to correctly connect by use an MHL adapter. More information is needed.

Android auto working fine on verizon galaxy s5 4.4.4 NI2 rooted custom recovery. The only way I could get it to work was to go back to a stock rom and using a MHL adapter with my 6100NEX.

Sorry to say this but your radio can do android auto it's just very picky. Granted I have the 6100nex but they are basically the same. You must be on a stock phone rom not an aftermarket rom for starters. Then the only way to get it to work so you can use it is with an MHL adapter but honestly it's a crappy interface and not worth it.

Also it will only work using the MHL adapter.

I started an account just to say that the Verizon Galaxy S5 running stock rooted 4.4.4 NIA with a custom recovery and the update app locked out so it won't force 5.0 on me runs great not issues. But it's just a crappy interface with limited apps even if you use app radio unchained.
