  1. do they make metal double dins?? i think it will be helpful for theives from prying out ur system... i just got my f90bt stolen and i had a viper alarm, took extra steps to secure my car etc... added extra screw and nuts to the plastic dins they sell but someone still got in and pryed it out breaking all the tabs... i think i metal or steel din would help alot, i know it aint much but its a step up
  2. man i got the viper 5900, i upgrade my alarm when my avic-d3 and my kicker subs and custom sub box got stolen... so insurance covered it and i bought a f90bt, and last night my viper failed me!! it did not go off and my f90bt is gone!!! and my remote didnt warn me ...lucky i lock the trunk from the inside though... but i test the alarm and it was working fine, got a backup battery too...stupid viper works when it wants too i guess...smh
  3. hey i wanted to know "can you use 1 sd card to backup your system and store the mods??" or should u use two seperate ones??
  4. damn 42 bucks just for a broken pin... im str8 for getting a whole new harness, but i'll look into the harness see if theres not a wire i'll b using... any1 know any suggestions for getting that damn mute wire in the harness without breaking it! i had problem getting it in since day1
  5. damn thats awhile, imma pm him anyways... but for the meantime any1 else know any solutions and where i could get them
  6. okay i had the avic d3 installed about a couple weeks ago with bypass done. about last week the prohibit warning about movies popped up so i knew it was a loose wire. I took it out and the mute wire fell out. Now i tried to get the mute wire to go back in but it just wanted go all the way. No matter how lightly or hardly i push it carefully so the metal would be against the teeth of that plug. So i got really frustrated since i couldnt get the mute wire in, i just pushed it real hard which end up bending the metal. So when i pulled it back out i just touch the metal it broked off. So now
  7. ok i did it, took me about an hour and 1/2... everything worked fine.. the only thing was the bypass, it worked but then when i drive pass 15mph the warning thing came up... i saw some1 else on here with that same problem so i guess i look it up... another thing is the fram supplied with it didnt fit so i have gap around it... so guess i have to find a kit, couldnt find any at best buy.... but imma go check out another 1 around here, so once i get that ill try to fix the problem with the bypass...
  8. ha, yea u read it right, i use to hook up lil stereo system in my room when i was like 13 so im just wang stuff wit eletrical tape, thats what i met by the home stuff, but havent mess wit anything else since then... well i'll let u guys know what happen wen im done later today
  9. well i got the wiring color code for it now, i went to best buy (where i originally bought the old 1), since i do not live to far and bought another harness then made a copy of wiring code manual, then i returned it back to the store , basically it was just match the colors! so thats an relief on the safety issue of wrongly connecting something... well all i need to find out is where the speed lead and backup lead is.... any1??
  10. yea i know, but aint the wire harness u get from the store suppose to be made for ease?? thought they made them so u can easily match the colors?? thats what most of them say for their description...
  11. no offense taken, well i think i can do it, just never installed nothing in a car, just did home electronics.... and all i used was electric tape, thats why i asked the question about butt connectors because i never used them... i did some research on most of the stuff, and check out all the wires in car and read the manual throughly, and i think im confidence enough to do it... just had some small questions lurking in the air... such as what color the speed and backup lead is...i wouldnt try it if i wasnt too sure what i was doing, but i watched a friend hooked up my avic n2 awhile back... i
  12. i no longer have the diagram, another question, any1 know what color the speed detection lead is for the 02 accord, and what the color is the backup light lead?? im new to installing stuff, just gonna wang it see what i can do... 1 more stupid question if im using buttconnetors, for the wires to connect do i have to remove a lil bit of the colored skin for the wire so it shows the lil wire thread to make the connection or can i just clamp it on like wire taps??
  13. I GOT AN NEW AVIC D3, AND GOT MY OLD WIRE HARNESS, I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANY1 KNOWS WHAT WIRES FROM THE POWER CORD CONNECT TO THE WIRE HARNESS?? i HAVE AN 02 ACCORD, DO I JUST HAVE THE MATCH THE COLORS OF THE POWER CORD WIRES TO THE WIRE HARNESS OR NO?? I THEY HAVE THE INSTTRUCTIONS FROM THE HARNESS SO IF ANY1 KNOWS HIT ME UP
