Only differences in the New Jersey area is that newer roads are added. I don't know about where you guys live, but there are times where the z2/z3 want to take me on roads that do not even exist!! Wouldn't you think these roads would be taken off since the z1?? And the "point to point address" isn't that great, sometimes it is, but this one time the place was a good 2 miles down the road, and the z3 told me it was in a whole different plaza. I really don't have too much to complain about.. i love my z2/z3.

Holy crap, no kidding! I'm getting 9.3mbs down! So, FTP d/l finished in about 3 hours. Waited for a lunch break to drop it onto the Z1's HDD (took about 20 minutes) and took it to the car. Thank god my Franken-Z (Z1, upped to Z2, upped to Z2/Z3 Mash-Up) took the firmware update and is now a true Z3. Voice commands work perfectly (not that I use them). Current versions: VERSION: 03.0000 CDDB: 07-01-0030 PLATFORM: 3.000100 GPS PROGRAM: 1.200000 HDD APPLICATION: 3.100200 Wait a minute... The FTP Z3 image has the old CDDB? lol. At least that can be updated. Hmm...s

I got mine from http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZfran37623 it has all the right version numbers of the software and hardware...updated maps, software, bluetooth, etc. the Image should be up here within 24 hours though, but his hard drive works perfectly fine in my z2.

So is this image of the actual z3 image or is it just pieces to keep all the music & phonebook?

Once someone buys this, BEFORE they swap hard drives, they have to make an image of it BEFORE inserting it into the z2/z1 to make sure it works. Sounds like what I said I would do...three times already in this thread with the exception of using the E-bay product. I had a brand new Toshiba drive and sent it out to be cloned. When I got it back, I was under the assumption that it was unlocked, so I put it in the Z1. This was friday...well sunday I went out and bought the SATA/USB adaptor cable to copy the image, and when I plugged in to the computer, windows found it on USB but would not assign the drive a letter...so it was there, just not accessible I sent my original drive off to the same person for cloning, so when that comes ba

Ok, so my Z2 and every Z2 out there has the most updated maps available as of now? Pioneer should really have an updated 2008 already out just like garmin does.

Anyone know if there are any updated maps for the Z2 yet? I was looking at the new Garmin's and they have new maps that include newer streets that my Z2 doesn't have on the maps. Anyone have any answers or know anything about Pioneer releasing updated maps, please let me know. I'm taking a trip to Florida soon, and it would be great to have the latest maps available.
