  1. I know there is a mini-jack to add a standalone speaker for the GPS guidance. However I have the same issue with phone calls that I have with the guidance, it can be hard to hear from speakers so low on my front doors, especially when I have a passenger who's legs, bag, etc. are blocking the speaker. Is there any possible way to install standalone speaker for phone calls, like the GPS guidance has? Currently I am using the RCA outs to an amp. Is there some way to use the front wire leads? Some third party device that can wire in and allow a standalone speaker? Thanks!
  2. I called Pioneer to find out if it was even possible to sync an Android phone with the Z1 unit. My response? It's Verizons problem. Gotta love it. In any case after searching the Android forums I did find one suggestion for another radio that I thought I would give a try. And it worked! So if anyone else wants to know this, you need a program called “Bluetooth File Transfer†free from Android Market. Pair the phone with the Z1-Z3 unit. When the connection is established open the “Bluetooth File Transfer†application. Press the Menu button on the phone to bring up more options.
  3. I have the AVIC-Z1 unit in my car, and it is paired with an LG Ally. I can sync the BT just fine to make and receive calls. However, when trying to sync the phone book it will only sync a few numbers. There also seems to be no reason for it to pick the numbers that it does to sync, they are not recently called numbers on my phone, or my "favorites", or in any alphabetical order. It just seems random. On my previous phone I could send a number one by one to the unit, which was very time consuming. With this phone I only have the option of sharing the entire list of contacts at once. Any
  4. As I might be a bit behind on this conversation about locked drive vs unlocked drives I am going to ask..What is the point of unlocking the drives? From What I was able to read in this thread an image was able to be installed on the SSD and it did function, even if it wasn't tested long enough to determine the reboot issue. I ask this for two reasons. One being that I am curious. And second is that I would really love to have a SSD in my Z1. I installed my Z1 in my Z31 (300ZX) by cutting a whole for it to fit into in the dash, as I originally did not have a double din place for it. Howev
