Wow, I thought I was the only one with this problem! I've had BT problems with CarPlay since I began using it last year. But after the latest iOS update (9.2.1) BT doesn't work at all, and that deafening noise started. So Auto-Connect BT off solves this? (I tried rebooting the phone several times and that didn't help.)
