Just installed it on my Honda and I wanted the same thing and what I did was went into the steering wheel control settings and found my button that controls that (for me it was button 5 I think) changed it to mute to make sure I had the right one and it did in fact mute e volume. So I went back into the settings and changed it from "mute" to "UP" and it scrolls thru my presets.

Exactly what my title says? I was updating my account with XM and it said my radio supports XM Weather. So by "radio" do the mean my D3 or do they mean my XM brain as the "radio"? Mule

Ok well after dinner I went back to it. I unplugged the harness and turned the radio on and checked that little metal contact from the harness of the mute wire and I'm getting a good ground. So I did my best to seat the harness back into the radio and tried to hear a click and I did hear the click. And then the "parking brake" error went away but I am not sure if it goes away eventually so I turn the car off then on again and what do you know, no "parking brake error". I took the car down my neighbor hood and got the car up to 30mph and good to go. However I will monitor it closely for the wee

Ok so I have attempted to do this bypass a number of different ways. First I did the bypass exactly the way this forum says to do it. Then it works for like 1 mile then BAM "improper connection of Parking Brake Lead Blah blah" and now the bypass does not work. So then I tried switching grounds and again works for a mile and then "parking brake error". So then I tried to hook the bypass up to a switch to see if I could isolate the issue. Believe it or not, I played with it today and all I did was resent the numbers to the head unit and now it miraculasly works! I don't know why! It is so much better now! Thanks anyway MULE

Yes they are all in ten digit form. Like i said when the number shows up on the screen with unkown i can look at my phone and it will display name so why cant it display the name on the head unit?

yes I can do the search function and it displays all the names when i make a call but when I recieve an incoming call I get my problem.

So when I recieve a phone call, on the D3 it displays the number and above that where it says name its says something like unavailabe, or unkown. So i have to look at my phone to see who is calling. Any ideas? Thanks Mule

ok copy all now i just need to make sure i have the right wire as the VSS. because I found two wires of the smae color claimed to be the VSS

OK i have done the mod to my D3 and every time i get done with it works like a champ when test it. but then later when i go to utilize the hack whether it be play a movie while driving or use all of the features of the GPS or blue tooth it's like the hack isn't working. I did have the VSS and the parking brake grounded too the same bolt and the mute wire grounded t the black ground wire on the side of the head unit. so i have moved the vss wire to my vss from behind my gauges. and i was hoping to hook the mod up to a led switch so I was wondering how you configure it for the three prong which

Yeah the ringtone is kinda 1990, but I haven't tried this but I noticed in the call waiting only the number shows whos calling, my question is if someone just calls you will their name pop up?

MAN!!!!!!!!!! Why couldn't the manual say that. It transfered all 123 contacts perfectly. Now All i need to know is the voice dialing works but i have to hold the phone to see what it is doing becasue I don't hear anything coming out of my speackers like the beap that I'm supposed to wait for. Any ideas? But thanks so much for the help on the contacts thing.

I have a BB 8310 Curve and I did all that but when I get to the transfer screen there is nothing there and it says not connected and then I look at my phone and for some reason the AVIC disconnects the bluetooth connection with my phone. Any ideas?

I have a D3 and I would like a 2006 Subaru STi space one for when it is loading and something with a "06 STi with red background, whether it be red carbon or red lightningor something, either way your ideas have been awesome.
