just wondering when using AA and spottily on my 8200, when you scroll through the playlists it only lets you go so far then says something about blocked due to safety , is there a way to disable this ?

i was hoping holding down the screen while off and enabling the bypass would do it  but nope..

so looking for some more info on this if anyone has any input.

i installed a pioneer avic 8200 nex  in my car , asd255 can i use this same test mode as i used for the 8100 ? and  are you able to help me out with the bmute script for  the 8200nex 1.07 firmware please    

i would just  pull it out and wire up a usb cord , do it once and its always there , i wired up all my connections the 1st time to avoid this very issue.

anyone know what file it is you replace  just to add the "mute button" on maps ?

a while ago i posted somewhere asking about it and someone posted the file for me but i can member what one it was.

Whew all sorted out updated the Bluetooth again and all is great!

My bt update also seemed to take forever more I'll try and update it again

anyone know what firmware was out for the 8100nex before the 1.09 ?

ever scince i updated when calling somone they can hear themselves echo verry bad.   all i can think of is the bluetooth update i did .

i also tried a spare mic i had   to rule that out.  as well as different phone.

would like to know if there's a way to rollback the bluetooth update..   ?

also is there no settings for bluetooth  echo canceling and noise reduction  on these units , as i cant find them anywhere ?

I believe delay-off feature is through under dash module.  There are likely accessory circuits that turn off with key OFF... but you'll have to find one.

 

I have a 2000 Express.  The courtesy lights have delay-off feature, but not the HU (on OEM circuit).  I have heard of newer models doing what you observe, and it is likely the GM/Chevy engineers had a [not-so-...] bright idea to put the HU on that delay-off module.

 

I have done a fair amount of custom wiring in my Express.  I bought the Service Manual (it has electrical schematics) and it has been invaluable to that end.  IIRC it was around $100.  I can't put a price on headaches not had, but I believe I actually got a return on my investment.

jhren     could you please let me know where to wire the orange/white off the deck (lighting switch terminal as per manual) where to wire it to , so that the dimmer function will work ?

im opening up my dash  in the next day or so and would love to be able to dim the deck   with my dimmer switch on my dash that controls the brightness of the dash light

disconnect your battery for 5 minuets i had my screen go black like this as well before , it will make the deck reset and loose all settings happened to my 8100 nex    i wish there was a save settings feature on this unit.

the setting that made this happen is the reverse ground option on my deck.  if you can get it to reset you will be fine.

maybe other models have the same option if somone can post

surely i cant be the only one who wants to save all there settings

is there any way at all to backup and save all user settings on the 8100 avic nex  ?

when my battery dies it looses all settings and such a pain to set it up all over agian 

this started today on me  when i get a message i say "reply"   then aa says , "what's the message" 

i say  "ill be home at 5"  

 aa says "heres your message to ....  " whats the message ill be home at 5 do you want to send it or change it"

it keeps adding  whats the message  infront of whatever i want to send to anyone. 

have latest firmware already   and running galaxy s7 , never had this  problem till today.

i definitely have it wired to accessory as after a few min if i shut the van off and don't open any doors my hu turns off 

i have a 2008 chevey express 1500 cargo van , when i turn off ignition and remove the key the deck stays on untill i open my driver side door .

i usually use my side door and it doesnt turn off the deck ,   i looked on the driver door but cant see the button that ususally depresses when u close the door , i was going to tap into this  and add another switch on my side door , so wondering....

how can i make the deck turn off when i open my side door ? 

i realize a few a few minuets the deck still turns off   but i dont like to leave it on and playing when i exit from the side door all the time.
