  1. This is what Pioneer says for your unit. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... 00BT?tab=C
  2. Where did you get this cable ? Did it come with a particular stereo ?
  3. I agree with getting an alarm, not just for theft of the stereo, but theft of the vehicle itself. I'm sure that word spreads around those who steel stereos that steeling these particular ones won't do them any good, because without the password they're basically left with a un-useable, unsellable brick that won't make them a penny.
  4. If the power is disconnected, it locks the whole unit until a password you've chosen is entered. Without this password, the only way to get the unit unlocked is to send it back to Pioneer, and they won't unlock it without proof of purchase. I'd be worried about buying it used unless it's someone you know and you have the password to unlock it.

  10. I have the highway board signs on mine when I'm on the interstate approaching an exit. Maybe it's a Canadian thing.
  11. Did you try resetting the unit ? Also do you have the antenna where it's getting a good signal ?
  12. You can't get a harness for Fords that plug into the back of your F900, what you get is a harness the plugs into your Ford harness and that gets wired up to your F900 harness, it's easy to do and can be done outside the vehicle for the most part then just plugged into your Ford and the F900. You can find these at Crutchfield.com, Best Buy, and other locations. As far as the VSS wire, it makes your unit more accurate but isn't required. It's usually an easy connect on most fords because they have the VSS wire right at the radio harness, it's usually the Grey wire with the Black stripe but could
  13. I'm sorry but you're wrong, the beeps can be adjusted in the menu's. Press menu, settings (at the bottom of the screen), NAV settings, sounds settings (at the bottom of the screen) then adjust the master volume and this WILL also adjust the volume of the beeps.
  14. Here's how to do the bypass. There are two ways to bypass the F-Series: - Hardware bypass. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17013 - Software/Hardware bypass. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17715 The beeps can be adjusted in the menu's. I can't remember the specific ones at the moment but I believe it's in the Nav settings.

  18. No, I mean like Best Buy like he mentioned.
  19. Most installers won't do the by-pass for you so you can watch video while driving due to liability concerns.
  20. I also purchased one of these, they work great, well worth the low cost. By the way, you forgot the link. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=21115&hilit=knob
