  1. Glad you took my joke as intended When I did my install this weekend I was wondering why the USB plug was so far from the RCAs on this cable - I guess that's the reason! Good idea.
  2. No, because he bought a WRX in automatic Keep your panties on, just joking around! All us 6MT owners give flack to people who buy sports cars in automatic.
  3. Automatic WRX huh? Wuss Nice install - for the mic I would drill a hole and put speaker cloth infront of it which is acoustically transparent. I love what you did with the USB port. Can you explain how that works with the iPod? Do you have to plug in the iPod cable to the USB? I just installed my F90BT this weekend so I am a noob.
  4. I typically use Invisible glass to clean screens (laptops, TVs) with a microfibler cloth. It does not contain ammonia and is much safter than Windex or Glass Plus. It is also the best glass cleaner you will ever use! You can buy it at Wal-Mart, Lowes, and auto parts stores: http://www.invisibleglass.com/
  5. I guess I have no one to blame but myself, but I just made an assumption that since my 3 year old Kenwood radio could recognize my iPod, that a newer one would include backward compatability. With my luck, Pioneer will release an update that will work with my 40 GB iPod Photo right after I get the new one But for those looking for a replacement, I saw they have the iPod Classic 120 GB on Amazon for $220: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPod-classi ... 646&sr=8-1 My wife tried to get me to take her 30 GB iPod classic and buy her an iPod touch but me smarter than that...lol.
  6. That Kenwood looks nice, but it is more than double what I just paid for my F90BT ($598 + tax). I have not installed mine yet (hopefully this weekend) but I figure the features will offset the price. I paid $400 for my Nuvi 350 years ago and it has it's issues as well. To the OP, why not put yours on eBay and see what you can get for it? The price seems to be going up as the demand has increased so you may get close to your purchase price. The tough thing about these units is you don't know how it really is until you have it installed and use it for a while. ps: there is a forum
  7. That's a great idea but it would require working with fiber glass which is WAY beyond my ability
  8. Love the mic location but the unit frame seems to be exposed, would something like this help out? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EOM8NY
  9. The OEM handle with the camera integration is $138 ( ). But you make a lot of sense in the respect that a camera would not be flush mount if it were to be angled. Other Armada owners are putting them on the hitch but I really want an OEM look. I may have to consider the OEM handle but I am not sure if it is even painted.
  10. Reverse lines huh? Do you have any pictures of it in action? I really would like the lines but it seems about 2x the price of the other cameras available. My wife has a G35 which not only has the distance lines, but also another set of lines that turn as you turn the wheel so you know what direction you are going. After seeing that I wonder if just regular lines are worth the added expense? Thanks..
  11. Thanks for the suggestion. I was worried about exactly that (not being able to point the camera down). I would like to have it so my hitch ball is in view as that will be the first thing that hits something behind me The poster who did this install said the installer was able to adjust the angle of the camera via some plastic mechinism but he did not know what model camera it was as it came part of the package with the navigation. I will check out eBay, but in the mean time if you know of any sellers I shoud buy from I would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks..
  12. Yes, it is an Armada. The stock camera is $300+ and there are no wrecks around my area as it is not a very common truck in my area.
  13. Thanks again - just saw this in the other thread and saved $30 Still have to pay tax though
  14. Thanks for posting that- I just called 6 Ave and had them do a price adjustment on my order ($625 to $598) that I placed on Saturday You just bought me my PAC steering wheel button connection!
  15. I have searched a bunch and it seems that most recommend the Boyo license plate backup camera but I want to have a more stealth install. From the factory the backup camera (which I do not have) in the Nissan Armada is integrated into the rear hatch handle. I was looking at the Boyo VTK100. Any opinions on this model or any other that has a bezel? Here is what a lot of Armada owners are doing:
  16. Wanna share the coupon code for everyone else? On 6Ave.com they have it listed for $1199.99! You got the F90BT not the F700BT? Interesting the way the price is shooting up - I guess it is based on supply and demand. When it was cheap everyone started buying it which drove up the demand and therefore the price. Go Capitalism!
  17. Only problem there is ebay = no warranty Technically it is not eBay that has no warranty, it is anyone you buy it from who is not an authorized dealer. That said, I wonder if 6 Ave is an authorized dealer?
  18. Which one did you call? The one i called said $748. Bastards. I just called the 877 # listed on their website - 877-684-2831
  19. Well I called them up and they were able to do it for the $625 price. Unfortunately since I live in NY they had to charge me sales tax so that jacked up the price to $680. I was planning on ordering it from them on Amazon so I would have had to pay the tax anyway - just wasn't expecting it The representative was extremely professional so I feel I should be happy with this purchase.
  20. Any idea where I would find this coupon code?
  21. Hmmm....I had not thought about that - good idea. I would assume that I would need to do this in the retail store not online or over the phone?
  22. Amazon had the F90BT for $625, now it is up to about $690 since I put it in my cart Is this normal for the price to go up in a short period of time? Will it go back down? Thanks..
  23. Mastrch, I am happy that you were able to return the unit. However, in reading your first post you said that this was not about the money but to get Pioneer to not release a product that was inferior or incomplete. Was your intent of the class action law suit just to get the purchase price back? Are you going to pursue this law suit now that you have received a refund? I'm in the debating phase right now and appreciate all the input from this board. Honestly, the AVIC411 forums are one of the biggest selling points of this unit.
