Can anyone add some substance to this debate? I am torn between the two at this point. Please be as objective as possible.

What would be the reasons to buy a brand new Avic Z3 over a brand new Avic Z2 with a Z3 update? Anyone who has had experience with both please chime in...

^ Exactly. Unless you own one, all you're doing is speculating at best. What I'm sure everyone wants to know is what has specifically changed over from the Z2. Even if its a menu interface change, or a faster processor, or anything at all! Bottom line, why buy a Z3 over a Z2 if we can just as easily update a Z2 to make it a Z3?

Do you guys think prices for new Z2s on eBay will see a decrease now that they are being outdated? If so, do you think it would be smarter to just buy a Z2 for around $900 and just get a Z3 update disc? Is the Z3 that much more cutting edge?

Will the current Z3 on eBay be a correct indicator for the going rate of Buy-It-Now prices to be around $1350 (for a standalone brand new unit)? Does anyone know what the retail price will be?

Is there anything I should know about getting the bypass done on the newer models? Like has Pioneer made it harder to bypass than earlier models? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to car audio, but I know that from demo-ing these in store, I got to have it. Is $1200 a good deal for this package these days? What about the ND-BC20PA parking assist camera v. the regular ND-BC2? What do I have to tell the guys at Best Buy when I have them install it (i.e. special wiring)? Is it something that they will even do? Please help. Thanks guys.

I'm gonna use it for just backing up. When I park my truck, I always back in, just a habit of a former valet. I don't think I'll ever have to tow anything. Its just that I'm one of those who won't sleep easy knowing that I didn't get the best product for my money. I am purchasing the Avic Z2x package which as you know, comes with the ND-BC2. I'll prolly just sell that off for $150 and put it towards the ND-BC20PA. I just wanted to know what the parking assist was all about. I can't find anything, anywhere online about it. Please post pictures or videos somewhere.

I have been trying to research the Parking Assist camera for weeks now but have yet to find any solid info on it. Can you elaborate more on why it is so much better than the standard camera? Why is it worth $200 more? Any pics or video would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
